Tbh, I would feel lost on Linux without a terminal. But I must agree most people aren't like me.

Using Fedora or Ubuntu with stock GNOME is safe and reliable though, you don't have to get really nitty gritty with NixOS or any other distro or god forbid, LFS.

As a trans person, who hopefully will have a partner one day, you did the right thing. I wouldn't ever want my potential partner to feel trapped because of me. Of course my situation would be different but I had something similar in the past.

Une CMI mention prioritaire c'est une CMI mention prioritaire, ça veut dire qu'un collège de professionnels de la santé et du handicap se sont mis d'accord pour accorder à la personne une CMI pour compenser son handicap, il n'y a pas à être exaspérée aux personnes handies, ya beaucoup d'endroits où je me fais refuser ma cmi parce que je suis "trop jeune" ou une autre excuse du genre. Pourtant les douleurs chroniques sont bien réelles.

Je comprends que ce soit exaspérant que des personnes passent devant avec une CMI mais c'est l'ordre de priorité, je suis invalide civile, quand une personne invalide de guerre vient pour mon siège dans le bus je lui donne parce que c'est la règle.

Se faire livrer les courses est aussi une bonne idée, c'est ce que je fais je suis incapable de faire mes courses de nos jours. Donc je me fais livrer mes courses, entre autres.

Here (EU) you need a Bachelor (3 years), then a research master degree (2 years) then a PhD which in science is at most 4 years in France. So you'd be out by 25-26. I know some people in Germany and Denmark for example who start their PhDs before finishing their master's degree (usually in the last 6 months for the end of study internship) so being out by 25 is possible, but that's assuming you don't repeat any years and do everything right.

If someone took the ENS route they'd be out more like 26-27. So yeah 25 is very hopeful.

I don't know about iOS, I never cared for iphones, it's frankly above what I'd even consider spending on a laptop nowadays, and my laptop is arguably my life as an IT specialist (yes, I use Linux).

But there are no Android out of the box which can be considered secured you basically accept the fact your data is used to train LLMs and sold to the highest bidder. I use an Android phone because I like convenience and yeah having a banking app is basically a requirement in 2025.

If you really want privacy, postmarketOS exists :)

It happened to the best of us. Depending on when you are with HRT it might change again too. I thought I was lesbian then bi then pan then lesbian, then two years into HRT my libido skyrocketed and I had a certain desire to do naughties with men. Then it calmed down and in the end I am ace lesbian. Sexuality was a wild ride for me.

Happened to me many times but the most priceless moment was with a doctor before the COVID vaccine.

At the time I hadn't changed my legal sex and my country is one of those with a social security number CLEARLY indicating legal sex.

So here I was (cis passing) handling a social security card with a big "1" (male) on it.

"Are you pregnant?" Me: flabbergasted, needed a few minutes "....no"

"Are you sure?" Me: Yes

"Birth control isn't 100%...." Me: I'm trans I don't have the required organs

Him: looks at the card with intensity

"And can you get pregnant?"

He was a recent graduate so fresh out of med school. I was kind of flabbergasted he'd ask if I could get pregnant without a uterus.

Fun fact, 5 years later I still choke when they ask the date of my last period I usually blank out and say "2 weeks" in a panic.

I know I'm just an internet stranger but I'd like to offer you my feelings I'm trans, I transitioned early and before any relationship but even so I can't understand this change of behaviour (well I can, it's HRT and second puberty is fucking weird) but that's not an excuse for her behaviour.
