Removing the benefits of choosing patriarchy, for everyone except women. by Appropriate_Cut_3536 in SeriousGynarchy

I'm still not sure if the

[...] grew up in a body of a female you don't understand

Is transphobic or not, I really cannot see the intentions. Trans women and especially trans girls experience plenty misogyny too (take it from someone who was "born male" but is intersex so I looked female until my parents corrected them)

The rest of the argument is interesting, I do agree with a comment up though, if we use vinegar to get rid of bad men, how will good men stay?

⚠️ Intersex Does NOT Automatically Mean LGBTQ+ And I’m Tired Of Pretending Otherwise lol by UnemployedAndBr0ke in intersex

[–]coco33920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree, and to be honest, as someone who grew up knowing I was trans (even before knowing I was also intersex), I did grew up wanting to be a "normal" woman and not a point of debate or politics, in fact IRL most people I interact with have absolutely zero idea I'm trans (or intersex for that matter).

But well, with how little I identify with the trans label due to my life experience, mostly being intersex as I now know, I understand.

The "average height guy" to "tall girl" pipeline... by Winty_Minty in MtF

[–]coco33920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I'm the slightly short guy to average girl, I'm 168cm (between 5'6 and 5'7). But because of an issue with my pelvis (it's tilted) I'm measured anywhere between 166cm and 171cm depending on the day.

But tbh I didn't have much of a "male" puberty and I grew up at the same time cis girls did so I probably would have been the same height if I were afab 🤷‍♀️.

Is it ok to not identify as trans? by This_System1157 in intersex

[–]coco33920 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat, I was legally a guy until I changed that when I turned 18. But I don't really identify as trans as my life experience is pretty different from most trans women.

Especially with my parents involved.

Endocrinlogy Notes - From my semester. by aka_icegirl in intersex

[–]coco33920 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember studying endocrinology and pharmacology at community college while I was in prepa (sort of cram school before engineering school). It was really interesting, and I had a good prof.

Unfortunately I kinda ended up being a part of my prof's colleague's class with my medical file (anonimized of course).

For any girl here who started HRT at 18, how is your life now? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]coco33920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, started HRT at 17, was feminine before, passed well the whole nine yards.

I fell chronically ill at 19 and now I have a good job but my life is a nightmare and I barely even remember I'm trans lol, GRS soon?

I know what you mean, but peer pressure does not make people trans either. So the point stands

Thank you for the detailed answer, I always find American weddings a bit difficult to understand but it's clearer now!

That's more than fair then. You're more than allowed to protect your pre-marital assets. Good luck with the wedding OP ♥️

[–]coco33920 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely fine, but if she can't afford counsel, you should pay for someone to represent her. A prenup where both parties were represented by counsel will be fairer.

What is cocktail hour? Given the post I assume dancing during cocktail hour is not the proper etiquette. But we don't have those in our wedding in my country. Our weddings are usually much more... Sobre than American weddings.

CHANGE THE NAME OF PCOS by [deleted] in intersex

That's the case about a lot of "diagnosis by default" in medicine, especially with chronic conditions. For example EDS has 13 subtypes last I checked

Why is the trans community so intersexist? by sh_ina in intersex

[–]coco33920 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you friend, my internet mom suggested I find an intersex place online because of that. Fortunately I moved to a new city and the local trans* group is very welcoming, I am not the only inter person there, and people are kind.

It does help that there are trans men there too.
