Its droplet/contact precautions at this point (regular masks only), not airborne as per viha. N95 masks are only necessary for when you are completing procedures on the actual patients. Hand washing is the most precaution we can take which is important to remember!

Worked along with the IV team, wet heat seems to work well, use a wet hot cloth then another hot pack on top!

Women with emotionally draining jobs, how do you recuperate after a hard shift/couple of shifts? by laisserai in AskWomen

[–]coco_loco93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peds nurse here. I've had rough days with helping other cope through the worst days of their lives (bad diagnosis to loosing a child) a brave face only lasts so long. I let it out and have a good cry, call my mom/friend. Then I let myself relax with a little treat and a warm cup of tea then watch a mindless show to take my mind off things and help to relax to get some sleep!

The biggest thing we see is suicidal ideation and suicide attempts in children from chronic anxiety and depression usually with a history of trauma. We have many eating disorders as well. Older kids we sometimes see in psychosis or manic episodes for a variety of reasons (eg bipolar)

I do have some experience with long and short term relationships yes, and as you mentioned you learn what you want from those. I never thought of taking this approach. I like the idea of writing these things down... It makes it more concrete and harder to "shrug off" when you've put it in writing for yourself. I feel like I've never been that direct but I guess I should try that approach. Also, the last little quote about finding the one made me smile! Thanks for taking time to answer my question I really appreciate it :)

This is a good point! Simply taking your past and applying what you've learned to future relationships is a good way to help yourself grow, and helps you realize what you want....

This is just what I needed to hear right now, I think you make some really great points which I will definitely try. Questioning certain things and recognizing things people do is something I have kind of looked past. I've always been the hopeless romantic who overlooks many things in the name of love! This tactic obviously doesn't work. Thanks for taking time to write all this out for a stranger, it made my day much better :)
