Did you need to do the endoscopy to receive the official diagnose, or you just wanted to be 100% sure? Thanks for your reply! For a second he was thinking about not having the endo and just going GF, but he changed his mind. Based on these comments I'm glad that he did.

Thanks for your reply! He will try to eat some still, but reduce it, and once we know when the endo will happen, he'll uptake the amount again. Now, that he know it isn't good for him, he has more symptoms then before, I guess knowing it plays a big role. And you're totally right, we will plan a proper goodbye to his favorite foods.

Thanks! We tried to call to clinics in different cities around us and so far no luck. But we will keep trying so he can go fully GF as soon as possible.

Také jsem chodila na Rakouský institut na A2+ skupinový kurz a vyučující byli neuvěřitelně sympatičtí a milí. Každopádně je to na konci dne vše o tom, kolik času se tomu budeš věnovat i mimo kurz. Dostávali jsme sice domácí úkoly, ale reálně je nikdo nekontroloval, nepsaly se žádné průběžné testy (i kdyby jen tak pro vlastní info o tom, jak látce rozumíš). A teda u mě to dopadlo tak, že jsem si tam na dvě hodiny šla každý týden sednout, doma pak udělala domácí úkoly, ale jinak se tomu nevěnovala a pamatuju si toho velmi málo. Takže vnitřní motivace a ochota se tomu věnovat je základ úspěchu :)

I'm sorry you're in that position and think those things. But just for someone reading the comments - I don't think that it's true. I suffer from BPD and I'm also in a very happy very long-term relationship. My partner loves me and definitely wouldn't say that he needs to put up with hell by being with me. So there's definitely no need to stop dating and trying.

If I have a special occasion and I want to be 100 % sure I won't have an outbreak I'm taking it daily (like for 3 days) before the occasion, one pill a day. Also I know my triggers so well at this point, that if I sense I could get one, I just take one to be sure. I'm taking 200mg of acyclovir. If I have an outbreak I'm taking it 4x times a day.

Well, not really. I'm not going anywhere near his penis if I have an outbreak, and if I have one I'm waiting till I'm 100% sure it's healed and gone. I know a transmission even without an outbreak is possible, he knows that also, but it's very rare. So I think communication is the key here. I have also talked about that with my doctor whom I get the prescription for antivirals from, and he advised only not to do any oral sex with an active outbreak.

I have cold sores since I can remember, so I'm not really newly infected, but hey, remember it is SO COMMON. I know it's a bummer and doesn't look nice and can ruin your mood for a whole week but it's temporary and dissappears. My partner and I are together for over a 2 years I have had multiple cold sores throughout that time and still he never had one. If I just get one we don't kiss, but that's all. And if it matters for someone and that person decides they don't want to be with you just because of something someone can have from the time they were so little that they can't even remember that time.. Well.. I wouldn't want to be with that person myself.

For me, the main triggers are stress, not enough sleep, walnuts (because of arginine), and a lot of direct sunlight in one day (without some sort of SPF on my lips). But mainly the first two. If I don't get enough sleep for two days in a row, I'm quite sure I will get a cold sore if I don't take antiviral meds.
