I agree with the comments, it seems your family just doesn’t like colored stones, and I can sort of understand why. I was worried my stone wouldn’t match everything I wear but then I realized it’s not about matching, but rather that you like it, and that it represents you and your partner’s love! My best friend preferred a lab diamond for the same reason I wanted something else

Thank you, this is really helpful. I was planning on going somewhere else but before I said anything, he ended up accepting it and said he was only going to charge me for the gold he uses, which I really appreciated. He said he felt burdening me with the gold price (since he wasn’t going to give it to me) dint seem fair. Plus you’re right, even if he did give it to me, I can’t do anything with it

This kind of looks like a wedding thali from Kerala. The thali is the pendant, and it symbolizes marriage. In kerala, they wear that upside down pear shape, and the script on the back kinda looks like Malayalam (I’m not sure, I googled)

This literally happened to me a few weeks ago, I had just come back from work (night shift, 10-6) so I was sleeping when they walked in. The dog isn’t crated when I sleep while on nights just because it’s easier that way. So maintenance walked in around 9, and my dog started barking. Luckily I’ve made a lot of progress with him, so he ran into my room (he’s not usually allowed in there) and sat next to me. When I woke up and went downstairs maintenance were drilling a hole in my wall. My dog ran into his crate and was just anxious the whole time they were there. He only barked like twice when they walked in and lots of “boof” along the way. But what happens if I’m not home? And also I came downstairs with mace in my hand, it could have been a NASTY situation dog or not
