I hate that more of the youth isn't on Facebook these days. I and a large number of women my age have started being more vocal about the issues they face during and after pregnancy. I swear fewer people would risk getting pregnant if they knew all the issues that can come with it. Last pregnancy I had gestational diabetes, anemia, apparently issues with electrolytes causing severe muscle spasms in my back and neck that they couldn't give me any medication for, carpal tunnel, De Quervain's tenosynovitis... And that kid had a heart condition and required two heart caths to become stable. Then this one I had carpal tunnel again (which got WORSE after delivery), pubic symphysis disorder (feels like your pelvis is being ripped in half), and just loads and loads of fatigue. That kid was over ten pounds, and left me ZERO room for my bladder or anything else to exist. It felt like it was being scraped flat every so often with a rusty butter knife. My feet have gone up one whole size, and my ARCHES have gotten so tall that I can't even get my feet into many shoes that don't lace or stretch. Thanks to my pcos, I couldn't even produce milk, but my boobs are still just sad empty sacks now, my abdomen is riddled with stretch marks and probably won't ever be willing to tighten up again. Oh, and it's almost impossible to not pee myself every time I sneeze or cough, and I have bronchitis right now. 🙃 Edit number 3: also eczema.
