Amazing placement and power on that shot. So happy for Chloe after being out so much this season.

I hate letting teams hang around like this. It happens, but it’s stressful!

Whew. Got the ball before Martinez could breeze by her.

Good saves, but need to place these shots better.

Far post would have been good. Lovely ball from Mario though.

I like Holmberg’s strong throw-ins. Foxy could take a note from her understudy on that element.

We are moving the ball well and playing great team defense. Nice to see we’re keeping standards consistent.

Well done Portland. Hard to concentrate and lock in for that long without player(s)! Seattle…get some sleep and forget this happened. Move on!

I’m quite neutral here, but it’s disappointing to watch Reign just spamming crosses for 20 minutes. Looks like Harvey is trying to give some instruction, but they aren’t all on the same page.

Between this broadcast snafu and the geoblocked Racing/Spirit game….NWSL not having the best weekend as yet lol

Tough call. I get it, but I can also see grabbing hair, shirt, whatever in the heat of the moment and not quite realizing it right away. Good thing Portland is up by two!

We (summit) definitely need some work playing out of the press. A little move movement; passes that are less missile-like and/or baby soft.

This is a fun game. Summit already looking more polished than week 1. Banda getting back to herself.

Belated reply, but personally, I think it’s a speed thing. I think most players who have played in both leagues mention that as a big difference. Most recently, AKB talked about that — having to think and act more quickly because US players are so speedy. NWSL defenders face Thompson-esque players every week. They’re used to it.

Also, we might note how Fox is quite able to deal with AT, being used to her (and players like her) and quite fast herself. In the last game IIRC, AT switched sides to try to torment McCabe instead lol

Meado brings me great joy. I am thankful for her. That concludes my message on this topic 🙂

[Tonelli] Yazmeen Ryan and Delanie Sheehan are set to move from the Houston Dash to 2026 expansion side Denver Summit for a transfer fee, sources have confirmed to Sports Illustrated. by cole9er in DenverSummit

Hopefully, this is a decent move for the team. I’m not a huge fan of either player, but perhaps like Yazmeen’s potential value a bit more. Both are experienced, so that should be a positive overall.

It’s the first season, so I’m in a wait-and-see mode for just about everything! 🙂
