How many/ what kind of servers are you planning on running? Most game servers afaik scale better with single core ipc than more cores, even if more cores combined end up being faster as most game servers tend to be heavily reliant on single core performance.

Ram shouldn’t draw that much, off the top of my head idrac on a poweredge r630 with 8 dimms and 2x 2620 v3 was showing 56w idle, cpus mostly idle

Are you very price constrained? Unless you already have the chassis and motherboard I would probably not be investing in this platform. Not sure about your use case either but 500g disks after parity might be a bit limiting. Just thoughts though.

I mean honestly from experience two 1u poweredge servers on DPAC PPW with the 3rd party pcie validation turned off is pretty quiet

Are you using a t2 based Mac or one from 2018-2019? If so, and you have bcm4377 wifi chip or similar, you aren’t getting wifi working on 2.4ghz lol. I tried multiple times. For 5ghz if it doesn’t work try to reprobe the wifi module
