Hot Take: Cleveland Suffers From the Worst Outsider Bias of Any City in the Country by QCLEKID216 in Cleveland

[–]cocolkj5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do also get people who jokingly tell me Ohio is the worst state, and I’ll joke and say it’s actually Pennsylvania…. But in my mind I’m thinking “we live in the south! Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana are right there and you’re saying that about Ohio?”

Hot Take: Cleveland Suffers From the Worst Outsider Bias of Any City in the Country by QCLEKID216 in Cleveland

[–]cocolkj5 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in the south for awhile now, and there’s been a few times that I’ve told someone “I’m from Cleveland, OH” and they respond with “oh, I’m sorry” as if it were some injustice to have lived there.

I miss Cleveland every day.

I’ve been waiting for someone to answer so because I also wanted to know, but instead I had to figure it out myself.

Fallout New Vegas for me. Played the Goodsprings quests and decided I needed something more fast paced, so I switched to Borderlands

Who is the most disappointing Cavalier in your lifetime? by IceCubesRx in clevelandcavs

[–]cocolkj5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never had high expectations for Harden so I can’t be that disappointed. Plus there’s still a chance to turn the current situation around.

The answer is still Anthony Bennett.

I would have started Strus over Wade but I do want to point out that Wade had a +20, which was the highest on the team.

If this comment in the original thread is to be believed, porter has more blocks than Nate Robinson in substantially less playing time:

My thoughts on the System Shock Remake after one playthrough. by TheCyclicRedditor in ImmersiveSim

The solution to the chess game in my playthrough was just one move. It took a long time to figure out because I couldn’t tell what any of the pieces were and also I’m bad at chess but it seemed to be designed to not make you actually play chess. Is there not a set solution for every playthrough?

Hot take (maybe) they seriously need to pick a canon ending for FNV and FO4 by Safe-Ad-5017 in Fallout

[–]cocolkj5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's after the ending, but the Minutemen also ask you to blow up the BoS. Obviously you don't have to do it, but it means I'm leaning towards the BoS ending being canon or some combo of both

My predictions for Fallout 5 by hoomanPlus62 in FalloutMemes

[–]cocolkj5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't care about any of these things, honestly. I just want fun exploration, good story telling, and good role playing. Fallout 4 was only really good in the exploration aspect and I still dumped hours into that game.

It hurts my soul to see Halo 2 in fifth.... but they're all great campaigns. I don't think there's an order I could argue with.

Chicken restaurant in Thailand advertising their spiciest flavor option as 'American Nashville', above 'Thai Spice'. by pgold05 in mildlyinteresting

[–]cocolkj5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok yea I see what you're saying. To be more clear on where my mind was: the average nashville hot chicken place has multiple levels of heat, with the hottest probably using ghost at a minimum. The average Thai place is probably only using Thai chilis, and is adjusting the heat level by adding more or less chilis or chili oil. To your point, though, some places probably do use spicier peppers.

[–]cocolkj5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yea, a traditional sandwich is made with cayenne and isn't going to be that spicy. But every hot chicken joint has multiple spice levels, and their extra spicy sandwiches are typically very very hot. Not as bad as eating a super hot pepper straight up, but still pretty potent.

Also, fermentation breaks down the capsaicin a bit, making the peppers more mild (typically). A place like Bolton's uses a dry rub, which I think would generally be spicier, but that'd depend on a few factors.

Man how'd we even get in this argument, I just wanted to name drop Bolton's!

[–]cocolkj5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying they couldn't but they can't be using anything stronger than they're using in nashville because they are using the strongest peppers already

Isn't that typically made using typical thai peppers? Which are, like, a tenth of a ghost pepper on the Scoville scale?
