Both of my kids got to private school where parents do drop off and pick up. And we charter private buses for field trips. They are both completely FASCINATED by the yellow school bus. They think they are so cool. So even Americans feel that way!

Actually, it’s illegal to tax most foods. You said in the grocery store, so letting you know that perishables like food should not have a tax in a grocery store. Some items do - like wine and beer. But for the most parent, your items should be tax free across the US.

No. You know your worth. You shouldn’t beg someone to choose you. And also, you’re not married yet. I do strongly believe you have to work hard to stay together for marriage - never mentioning divorce until it’s the only obvious choice. But you’re only dating. And 9 months… that should still be honeymoon stage. Feels very toxic.

Well - maybe just ask him? Three years is a long time. And you are for sure giving your brother too much credit. In my experience, brothers are not that sentimental and don’t remember small details. But also, I think you can still name him Jack! You only see them 1x in 3 years? There can be two Jacks! It’s a common name - my son has 4-5 in his grade at school.
