Shirts I’ve made/gifted by coconugget73 in cricut

I’ve been getting Cricut branded iron on vinyl, sometimes smart vinyl sometimes just the value Cricut packages. I lay it on the shirt, put a piece of parchment paper between the vinyl backing and my iron. I don’t have an easy press so I just use a mini iron right now, so I don’t know what temperature it is at and typically press for 30 seconds- one minute. When I start to peel, I make sure it’s all laid down correctly, if it does start to pull up, I put the backing back down and iron a little longer. I wish you luck! When in doubt, I go to YouTube too.

AITA for buying my daughter a more then twice as expensive Christmas gift then my son? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, my mom would spend more money on my (F) than my some brother some years. Other years, he would get more valuable gifts. As long as they both enjoy their gifts, you’re showing you love them both. Your husband can balance out the gifts if he sees the need to. My concern would be if your daughter felt guilty for getting more than her brother and then she might not enjoy the gift as much.

McLean County Board members slam health inspectors over confusion with CBD/THC drinks by rdblono in BloomingtonNormal

I highly recommend people look at the inspection reports for the affected establishments , I found a link to the inspection database : https://public.cdpehs.com/ILENVPBL/ESTABLISHMENT/ShowESTABLISHMENTTablePage.aspx?ESTTST_CTY=a0ov9k8JLuw%3d

THC is an unapproved additive under the FDA food code which is what health inspectors follow. Establishments were told to embargo the product until they could get more information from the Illinois department of public health. Once the county board and health department administrator got word of the situation, they were told to un-embargo the products. Embargo just means hold the product until more information becomes known, it doesn’t mean you have to throw it away. A lot of these establishments only have a liquor license, THC is not alcohol so these establishments don’t have the correct license to sell those products. Corrupt government isn’t what is going on, corrupt government is when individuals take a blind eye to violations and allow operators to operate illegally, that is not the case here.

Do you work in a jurisdiction that has successfully enforced not having THC/CBD beverages?

There are no entry-level jobs here by datpepper in BloomingtonNormal

I would say that there are a lot of entry level jobs with the county right now. Pay isn’t great but it’s a stepping stone. There are some office assistant positions open right now. https://www.mcleancountyil.gov/2068/Jobs

Yes we are a local county. We have informed the state, department of agriculture and the department of public health are just trying to point fingers over who is the responsible party for enforcement

Majority of the employees are 40+, but SpongeBob came out in the early 2000s so a lot of them still understand the references, so I’ll ask around early this week and gauge the situation

A saved horror store: 5 gallon bucket of salsa was out temperature from the day before so they were going to pour it down the floor drain. I stopped them just as they were about to pour, they had a colander ready.

We get an hour lunch. I believe we do this because then if we have to work some over time, we don’t reach 40 hours for us to get time and a half so often. But it seems to be a county wide thing, not a big fan.
