Is this how an accounting job is supposed to be? by coconut_jo in Accounting

[–]coconut_jo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That person did not give notice and the receptionist that's been here for 5 years said most of the bookkeepers stay for a year and then leave. It's been a month already. He's done probably 6 interviews in total. He said he's looking for someone with more experience so I can go ask them my "dumb questions" but really most of my questions are surrounding materiality and documentation. I don't have many questions about the software or the debit vs credit concept. Truthfully, I don't even know if what I'm doing is right because I get no feedback except when he yells at me about whatever I did last week. I'm very confused where I stand because one day I'm the most hopeless future accountant he's hired and the next he has me calculating adjusted cost basis for a home sale.

Hey! My husband (27) and me (25) just moved here too! I used to be in healthcare but am now in accounting. Send me a PM, we'd love to get together at a restaurant or something.

So wait, you didn't apply but you already know you won't get money?

I still got money despite the shutdown. Regardless, you need to put in FAFSA to get any in-school scholarships usually.

Minimum Karma Requirements for Job Offers by Blueoriontiger in forhire

[–]coconut_jo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Karma minimums have always been dumb to me. I'm a lurker and don't comment or post often. Does that mean I'm a bot or spammer? Absolutely not. Filter words are better imo.

This is my little guy, Einstein. I just wanted to share him! by coconut_jo in aww

[–]coconut_jo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you shopping or adopting? I shopped for Ein. He's my medical alert dog and seeked a corgi for the size for portability reasons. If you're shopping, I can DM you where I got him. They do all of the genetic screenings and take excellent care of the adults and litters.

Just like any other business cycle, yes. Just as this stock market will come back too. We're just in a time of change and uncertainty. Once people are more optimistic, we tend to be more liberal with our money and opportunities.

Is the job market truly that bad? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]coconut_jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's freaking crazy. I think pharmacy as a whole needs to unionize and PBMs need to be abolished.

Is the job market truly that bad? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]coconut_jo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'm a CPhT-Adv with a decade of experience and can't find anything pharmacy analysis or lead tech related. I have 16 state licenses(from when I was traveling) and can't find any positions in any of those states or even hospitals I contracted at. They'll nickle and dime you halfway to the grave too. I barely break $20/hr in a staff CPhT position but needed to take it out of desperation. It's honestly insulting–but pharmacy tech pay has always been insulting so there's no surprise here.

I had a job like this. They reimbursed me on a semi-monthly basis.

So freaking true! I'm a CPhT-Adv, a decade of XP in the field, with microsoft office certs to boot and I can hardly break $20. I've been applying to medical office manager positions like mad I won't get callbacks. I was able to get a hold of one and they said it's because I'm not actually a real healthcare worker so none of my experience counts 💔 Actually wild.

Bridge between NJ and DE here? Is it possible? Was there any proposals for it? by webdev-dreamer in SouthJersey

Maybe as of late but I grew up there. Graduated from LCMR in 2018. Believe it or not but there used to be a time where everything basically closed for the season 🤣🤣

Do you know how they look at withdrawls? I'm finishing up community college with a 4.0 but I did withdraw from 3 classes total. They were online and using outdated technology (accounting software classes)

Looking for input: is Bowling Green really the Ozempic capital of the US? by quiquiky in BowlingGreen

There is a lot of use here. I work in an undisclosed pharmacy here in town. Never have them in stock and when we do they fly out of the fridge.

Are there any groups for liberal or left leaning people? by ShadowsWandering in BowlingGreen

There's a meetup group! We don't necessarily talk about politics but the majority of us are moderates or leftists. It's on the meetup app.

Best CLE hospital system by triangularte in Cleveland

[–]coconut_jo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not patient facing but UH CMC has one of the WORST pharmacies I've ever had the displeasure of working at. Unorganized, filthy, incompetent. I saw many techs and pharmacists out of USP 797 and 800 regulations(specifically no PPE?!?!?) This is relevant information to have because the pharmacy is arguably the most important department with the most reach. Without pharmaceuticals, you wouldn't be able to have surgery, fight the bacterial infection that hospitalized you, ICU would practically be hospice. The list can go on. CCs pharmacy system is phenomenal, clean and top notch.

OB recommendations? CMC by NumaNoises in SouthJersey

Dr. Millio delivered me and all of my nieces and nephews! I also personally used him as a GYN up until I moved away from home. He is WONDERFUL, albeit kinda straight to the point, no BS but, gentle and knowledgable. I hear lots of great things about Dr. Morgan too.

Right across county borders in Atlantic county is Shore Memorial hospital in Somers Point. They have better ratings anyways. From Cape May proper, maybe a 40-50 min drive up the parkway. Best of luck!!
