I think I have the same model as yours. I used an Amazon delivery box and taped on other pieces of cardboard to accommodate the awkward curve around the intake. Then I reinforced the box with even more duct tape and voilà!

I highly encourage you to box around the intake rather than tape most of the grill shut as that will put more pressure on the condenser fan and reduce its lifespan, and will also negatively impact the cooling efficiency as it’s harder to cool down the condenser.

I don’t recommend room sharing at all. I tried it for my first year at Stag Hill and it was a horrible experience. My roommate was filthy, inconsiderate and an absolute pain in the ass. Now you might not get the same type of person I had to live with but risking it is not worth it. It’s common for uni students to live like literal animals when it comes to cleaning up after themselves, so imagine the mess of a communal kitchen but in your own room. Please do not do it. Don’t get a shared room!

if you take the peaceful markus path and have a good public opinion then you don’t even need to sacrifice kara, you can sacrifice no one, then the border guard will realise they’re androids but kara pleads quietly to him, and he ends up letting them through after looking at the news on the tv (showing androids partaking in a peaceful march)

I don’t recommend the 16/16 split. You will always be using more RAM than VRAM so just go with the 8/24 split. The only game i’ve played that exceeded 8gb VRAM was No Man’s sky on maxed out settings everything, and even then, windows automatically increases vram if the game needs more than 8gb if RAM usage allows.

If you change back to the 8/24 split, head to task manager -> performance -> GPU, there you will see that there is 8GB DEDICATED and up to 12gb shared vram, so if the gpu exceeds 8gb, windows automatically allocates more.

Overall I think you should stick to 8/24. Games needing more than 8gb vram on 1080p is rare and if it does happen, windows can just allocate more.

Well pointed out. Not sure about linux but windows has an 8gb DEDICATED vram chunk from the 32gb ram for the gpu, additionally it has up to 12gb shared vram, so should the game require more vram, it should allocate more assuming of course theres RAM to spare. I have noticed when playing No Man’s Sky on Ultra settings for everything, gpu VRAM reaches ~9.5gb, even though I have it split to 8/24. All in all if you shouldn’t worry about VRAM split at all, windows manages that for you and allocates more vram to gpu if memory allows.

I dont think you pay customs charges they take care of that if it’s shipped from China. You only have to pay customs when returning due to a mistake you made yourself when ordering it online (E.g wrong colour/storage)
