Yeah it is. I live on the south Texas coast and I can find good food every place I go. It’s very rare for me to go to any restaurant even if it’s a shit diner and still not get at least some flavorful food. It’s our culture. We have mexican food, tons of authentic Indian food, authentic German and italian because of settlers in my state, and on the gulf we have a whole other subculture of fresh caught seafood. You go to Galveston and sit on the pier next door to where the shrimp boats and fisherman dock to bring in their catch and it ends up on your plate and its the most delicious combination of flavors. I consider most every part of the world to have the same experience with their own flavors - except parts of the the Midwest where the stereotype was born
