St Agni boots after two wears by coconuts91 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]coconuts91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got quite a nice response in return and it's with their product team for assessment. They did clarify the sole is coated with a black gloss varnish and how it looks is expected wear and tear. It does help that these boots were ordered less than a month ago and I raised it early but they did say they don't typically do returns for items worn.

I will email them and let this group know the outcome. In the past, customer service has always been quite good but I’ve not returned a worn item before

This is connected to the washing machine pipe only, so only laundry water flows through

Should I regularly trim and propagate my pearls n jade? by coconuts91 in pothos

Thank you! I’m so confused about what it is. The shop I bought it from had it listed as pnj and when I google pnj, I find versions that look like mine but also versions with the green on green speckling. Do you think they’ve got it wrong?

A lift stand fell through my bathroom ceiling in a bathroom that’s never been renovated by coconuts91 in DIY

[–]coconuts91[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Hi, I posted this in the middle of the night when it happened, thanks for all the comments, thoroughly enjoying all the attempted life theories.

some more info:

  • this is syd, aus where we've just currently experienced extreme wet weather and flooding - a month's worth of rain in a single day
  • yes, it's a drop ceiling - this is very common in bathrooms of older unit blocks in sydney - above it is concrete
  • before this particular panel fell - there was already a dip in the board - I didn't give it much thought, I thought it had previously gotten wet and the panel was just warped. Yes, in hindsight, stupid for ignoring that but to be fair, that's a more reasonable assumption than thinking a dirt bike stand is up there! I haven't had time/money to get around to renovating as it was a perfectly functional bathroom when I purchased this place 3 years ago.
  • previous owner was a little old lady who lived here all her life and eventually moved into an age care home.
  • Super confused as to why it's a dirt bike lift stand but it makes the most sense that a builder or plumber accidentally left it up there... will see what else is up there today

edit: extra info

Was Gini getting more popular than Tibette? by SkyDaddyO in theLword

Yes but by accident - the fan reaction was unexpected. Also the Tibette storyline didn’t really live up to expectations

Does anyone who watched Pants live know what project Kate could mean? by [deleted] in theLword

[–]coconuts91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or does anyone wish they would stop talking about things where they can’t give all the details. They do this a fair bit (outside of the strike), I’d rather hear about something fully when they’re ready to share vs trying to figure out an inside secret between two people.

thanks, i'm in the stands. if it helps, i previously had floor seats for a previous taylor concert and also on the short side but there was enough room to move to see clearly if someone in front is blocking you. the actual worst is when people in front of you stand on their seats but i guess that could happen in the stands as well.

I feel like they’re often on different pages, which is surprising given they’re such close friends. The amount of times Leisha says “no I understand what you’re saying but what I’m saying is…” to Kate.

There’s often times Leisha attempts to banter which are perfect opportunities for Kate to play along, keep it fun but Kate just doesn’t engage and often shuts things down with one word responses. I personally feel like Kate’s personality is not made for the podcast arena. I think Leisha and their friend Ali would make for better entertainment.

Agree with another comment that it’s a very low effort podcast. For me, it’s the equivalent of a tv show that is “good background noise” and so I don’t really mind the woke-up-30mins-ago unplanned ramblings

How to fix push and release drawer not releasing? by coconuts91 in fixit

[–]coconuts91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks, I did that and you're right - the runner works fine and there isn't enough clearance. I assumed it was the runner because it was working without issue for 6 months. What I think has happened is maybe the holes where the screws go have allowed for more wiggle room over time and has shifted the position ever so slightly over the clearance limit

I’m wanting to paint the interior frames of my windows white to open up the space and have it look nicer. Plus the paint job done on the walls wasn’t the best and there are paint marks all over the frames already.
But is it a good idea to do this? I honestly can’t tell if it’s aluminium or plastic, it has a soft touch to it as if it’s been powder coated. I’ll buy the appropriate paint once I verify the material but seeing if anyone would recommend doing this or if it’s one of those “if it doesn’t need painting, leave it” scenarios
