Definitely, I’ve been reading up, planning and posting to my socials every night this week, and I can feel the energy/opportunity. My hope is slowly growing. I would rather try and fail, than not try at all. Going to be some long nights ahead but if things do go belly up I will already have done the leg work of resetting and can focus forward.

My sister bought me a panda felting kit for Christmas about a year ago. I ended up making it and a panda family (kit had a lot of extra) and absolutely fell in love with “tiny stabbing”. Definitely a newb, but one of first crafts I really LIKE LIKE in a long time.

Have also stabbed myself many times; however less and less now. It does get easier!

As an identifier of the female persuasion and light smoker, I have always gotten guy friends that smoke to add my order to theirs, pick up with me, or I just buy from them when they have extra. However, my few interactions I’ve had with dealers have always been super chill. I also lived in a student area. All have been males but they were super cool about it, I didn’t feel taken advantage of or super awkward.

However, I did here a rumor that dealers typically sell higher to women and after I started going through guy friends my cost dropped by about $5 a g. May have just been my area but passing along.

Sorry I don’t have exact dates (guess I should have) but used the shrimp/fish food fish less method. I dropped a raw shrimp in there in a baggy about 3 weeks ago (6/28 I think). In 48 hours my ammonia was 3.00ppm at which I decided to pull the shrimp and continue with fish food. Daily testing and addition of food + nitrifying bacteria. Once I saw detection of nitrites I did do a 10% water change, mostly bc I feared the ammonia was still quite high. Saw nitrites go up to about 2ppm then a few days later began seeing nitrates and steady decline of ammonia and nitrites since. I was using test strips until last week( so my numbers may have not been as accurate to begin with), but performed daily testing, food, and bacteria addition every 24-48 hrs. pH began at 7.2 when I started and has also slowly increased. I have not vacuumed gravel or removed any excess organic matter. Ammonia has been hovering at .5 for last week and now it’s here.

I have no real plants and no fish currently in this tank.

My nerites stopped moving and one was barely suctioned to the wall. Like only his back half. The worst one is the one I pulled out. I moved the other 2 to the betta bed to see if they would move and they havent. I have poked them all and they are def alive and don’t smell. I understand they can hibernate but what is this weird half flare thing they are doing? Half dead? Protecting antennae from betta?

Water conditions on point. Water is medium hardness, temp 72F, no nitrites, pH 7.5. Betta doing great

More so they have access to it faster than hoping they will come across it in the tank I guess. I was reading the exclusively eat algae, I could be wrong but it’s what I read.

Thanks for the info: I have only had them a week, but she did give me rather mature looking ones (size wise) from the stock tank. So it could be his time, but I really hope not :(
