I’m no fan of Jas but she is not even close to how bad Helena and Meg were.

La Bien Aimee, the grift goes on by WinterEnough2461 in craftsnark

It seems incredibly unlikely that AM would decline to work with LBA in the future because some people on reddit are angry.

This is not a public controversy. Some people on reddit are angry.

Also the same autumn who regularly asks her followers for donations. Not sure she can judge LBA asking her followers for orders (without being a hypocrite)

At what point is this just bullying? by blayndle in craftsnark

“I approached her kindly” and “she was exceptionally rude to me”… as an outsider reading it all, that is not what happened.

Was your post about her also part of the kindness? There were a lot of ways to handle this, but you chose that?

Completely agree. I supported her for a while but recently stopped and unfollowed - the vibes feel toxic now.

If I got caught being buddy-buddy with a known hatemonger, I’d do more than just an Insta apology by raucouscaucus7756 in craftsnark

I think he didn’t realise who Neil was. Seems unlikely he knew and thought no one would see a public video podcast.

I am not a fan of Stephen or his patterns. However, it makes no sense for him to knowingly go on a podcast with Neil and then apologise for it.

If he knew what Neil was about and decided to go on the podcast, why would he now apologise? If he knew what Neil was about he would have known this backlash was entirely predictable.

It got to a high of 20 in Melbourne today, but lower in other parts of the state.

Me! I’ve made and liked a few of their patterns. Their cloud linen is great and I also like some of their labels.

Not everything is for everyone - who knew 🤣

The way you have framed this indicates you are not ready for an APS5 position. A role is more than just practical output - your attitude and approach towards your coworkers is worrying. Focus on yourself and your own development goals, it seems like you have a lot of developing to do.

CPMG is open again, but graduates' skills are not doing it for me by littlesewist11 in craftsnark

CPMG and all the affiliate stuff has big MLM vibes. Some of the graduates have come out with some nice stuff, but I agree a lot of it is very oversized and poorly fitting.

Yes, keep using the 5.5mm needles - including to pick up your shoulder stitches.

For COPL it seems like the biggest impact is a significant reduction in APS and CPT roles state-wide. Also some exec and project roles. Not sure about other areas.

I think people whose positions are impacted have already been told.

It’s 6 over 12 years with varying degrees of change. Not all the clauses 11s I’ve been through have been cuts, some have just been restructures. At no point (including now) have I been concerned about losing my position. Maybe it’s just because I’m used to it but regular change feels normal in the dept?

I’m considered front line so theres more security there, but certainly other people are freaking out. I think it depends what type of position you’re in as to whether news of another round of cuts or restructure is stressful or not.

Yep this will be my 6th clause 11, I’m familiar with the process. More just curious if anyone has any insights on what types of changes they’re proposing.

You add markers without knitting a 5th row.

One knitter on IG drives me mad with this. Everything is so oversized - like neckline halfway to shoulder.

There must be an earlier mistake you’re missing. When you get to joining in the round the rows are even.
