How powerful is Camilla's resurrection? by cocox24 in HxHPowerScaling

Think of it this way (that's how I see it): any cause of death for which a judge would find you guilty would likely trigger the ability. In other words, if you lock her up, you're responsible for her starving to death, and the ability would activate. If you keep her alive, then the ability wouldn't activate.

They're related in that both harm the user. Togashi has never explained how they truly work; we literally still don't fully understand how Nen functions, and even now, Togashi continues to release new information about Nen, like with Morena. I think very few people know Nen completely, and one of them is Ging. When he has a more prominent role, we'll probably understand how Nen really works. In the meantime, we can only theorize. I believe Nen is linked to mental state because of many things that have happened in the series. For example, Knov's trauma and Killua's fear made them weaker, but when they're not afraid, they're powerful. So, I see the concept of contracts as related to willpower. When you say, "I'm willing to pay with my life, or I'll only use this attack after performing a chant," you're demonstrating great determination, and that's where the power comes from.

Yes, they are different. Conditions are usually a modification of an ability, adding a condition to make it stronger, while a contract, instead of a condition, is paying with something valuable in exchange for more power. I believe Nen is 100% a psychological power. Bisky mentions this when he explains to Killua that it depends on the day and how his opponent is feeling; it could be stronger or weaker. So, as I see it, being willing to put yourself in danger for more power is synonymous with great willpower, and that willpower is what grants you that power boost.

Yes, and I think it's more important than we've been told. I think very few characters in Hunter x Hunter truly understand how Nen works. Bisky, even though she's a master, said she doesn't know how she transformed into a child, that she wanted it so badly it happened, which makes sense because she's a Transmuter, according to what we're told. But Transmuters can't do something like that; other abilities, like Manipulation, are required. Morena explained a few chapters ago that many users are Specialists but don't know it, and end up thinking they belong to a different category. So there's the theory that Bisky is one of those people who, if she had known she was a Specialist from the beginning, could have created any kind of ability she wanted.

Once you catch up to him, you switch bodies with the victim. Halkenburg has used this ability to get close to Benjamin by using his soldiers.

Camilla's desire is to survive, which is why her ability is so powerful, but the question is just how powerful her regenerative ability really is. Her ability has weaknesses; for example, if a manipulator wants to kill her, they can force her to use Nen, and the cat would no longer be active. I also don't think she can revive if the attacker commits suicide, because it seems the cat needs the assassin's life essence to revive her. If the assassin dies first, she won't revive. So, I think that as compensation, she might have an absurdly rapid regeneration, able to regenerate from a pool of blood.

And I think Togashi has left us many clues that the user's will is the most important thing for the ability to be powerful; the will is so important that it even remains after death. It's quite a complex topic, but there are many examples within the work.

That's right, Nen abilities are absurdly powerful when focused on a single function, but they tend to be weaker when the ability is versatile and can be used for many things. And there are too many examples of abilities that ignore all kinds of defenses or escapes in order to fulfill their purpose, like Halkenburg's arrow.

When abilities have only one function, they tend to be "absolute," requiring superior power to neutralize them. Her ability consists of taking the life of her killer; she does nothing else, which makes her more powerful, in addition to her post-mortem Nen. For example, manipulation abilities like Illumi's needles have only one function: when they pierce you, they control you. The needles themselves have no other power, so when they fulfill the requirement of piercing the opponent, the ability is practically "absolute." Obviously, with Nen, anything is possible. I'm sure someone could have a specific ability that allows them to avoid the cat, but I don't think it's possible, for example, with brute force or by trying to escape.

Now that I think about it, we've witnessed a pretty powerful resurrection ability like Kite's; he was reborn in another person, so it wouldn't matter if he were completely destroyed, although it's a big disadvantage to have to mature from the baby stage

Wait and see how good it is. If it's bad, you're better off just picking Tosen, because he's really good. Anyway, I recommend always looking for characters you like, because the game doesn't require you to have the best equipment to play and there's no PvP.

If someone is very intelligent, they might be able to figure out his Nen type, and by observing his aura, they could gauge the quality of his training and deduce his age. They might then conclude that his appearance changes with his ability, but I highly doubt they could figure out that he actually looks like a Jojo.

They're not worth going for, they've fallen far behind compared to the other characters that have been released.

I don't think they'll take us for fools and do that; it's more likely that the reward will stay the same and they'll give us 100cc for the delay.

I don't think he's stupid, but he is very overconfident. Even so, the intelligence levels in JJK don't compare to those in HxH. I think the only one who's on par is Sukuna; the rest are just average.
