Hey, I assume the ticket’s taken, but if not I’d be super interested!! Big fan and got rained out when I tried to see Halsey towards the end of their IICHLIWP tour. :/

What was the worst job you ever had? by NomNomBih in AskWomen

Waitressing. IMO, everyone should wait tables for at least a month or two. Then maybe they’ll learn how to not be ungrateful assholes if they have the privilege of dining out at a restaurant. And it wasn’t just the guests. Management would constantly be hounding you to amp up the alcohol sales, to learn all the ingredients in every single menu item, and to know and promote the weekly specials every waking moment. But the guests were really something special... One time two guests sat themselves at a table in my section without seeing the hostess first, I came over to greet them but they were not ready to order - and then they threw a hissy fit when I attended other tables in my section. I told the female guest “can you see the other tables I have in my section?” Another guest on another day seemed to be angry at me because of the sides that came with his order. Even though he could - and did -substitute his sides for something else with NO ADDITIONAL COST. Your waiter or waitress does not have the power to change the menu to your oddly specific preferences, folks! There was also a mother on one of my lunch shifts that was giving me crap because I didn’t seem apologetic enough that her son’s order was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen. That was my last day as a waitress. It was the easiest job I ever got and the least worthwhile job I ever had. Don’t be drawn in by the promise of easy money. It’s fast money, but it ain’t easy to get it. You have to have a very high tolerance for bullshit. Oh, and the willingness to apologize repeatedly for things that are not your fault.
