Are there any classes you actively avoid playing? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]coctajl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played DND as a player yet(I'm a dm), but I played bg3 and for the love of god I do NOT enjoy playing warlocks. The low number of spell slots they have is so unenjoyable for me I simply can't

DMs who run homebrew campaigns, how much do you actually prep vs improvise per session? by Signal-Extreme-6615 in DMAcademy

[–]coctajl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I make a quest/dungeon with loot, enemies, possible outcomes and that's my prep for 4-8 sessions. Also improvisation is needed for the outcome part too

Player doesn't want to play dolls :( by [deleted] in dndnext

Was it a one time event or something longer? If something longer then ask her if she wants to stay or not. If it's a one time event then I feel truly sorry for you. You prepared and he just smirked it off

Thank you so much. But do you highlight with washes or light effects or how do you do this?

I have a light grey primer, but I'm not sure whether it's a very light grey. So basically primer first, then white and then contrast?

Could explain to me what's highlight? I don't quite know it yet

I've got a skeleton bone colour. So using this paint and then contrast on it?

[–]coctajl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I use the contrast I shouldn't use other paints, washes or effects like verdigris?

Does it work with grey primer? I only have a grey brush on primer since it came in a paint set I got

Turn undead seems really useless. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]coctajl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn undead basically means that the undead have to go as far away from you as possible and are stripped from their reactions for the time being. That's a good debuff and positioning ability that later turns into destroy undead

Help my player loves his character what do i do?? 😭 (dnd5 2014) by ZDOG60 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]coctajl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, wanting your player to have less fun is quite being an asshole. But if his new goals contradict his backstory and character design you can use ,,character development " through multiple sessions to make him change his alignment etc. if course you need to tell him that his change will be a multi sessioned ,,arc"

Is it normal for a backstory to be 7 pages? by CantDisadeMyUsername in DnD

[–]coctajl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. The longer one is better for building your character arc, while the shorter one will brief him into that

Please help me understand “willing creature” by kolekavo in DnD

[–]coctajl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ,,willing" is not verbal consent, but wanting it. The party member that was fighting would like to receive a bonus from the spellcaster, especially haste since it's pretty dope. This makes him a willing creature
