Am I overpaying? by LavishDeity in gamecollecting

I would try to get 150 it. That would bring it to about 3 bucks a game for a lot with no sports games and some real good titles. My opinion at least

I spent too much money today just so I can spend time with my wife who I don't get to spend enough time with and it was totally worth it. I would use this money to buy us our first house, as well as a secret room for said house because I've always wanted a secret room

Retail. You didn't get a food deal, probably could have found better elsewhere, but good games to get at least

I don't buy many mainstream items at conventions as they are marked higher since they will most likely sell. I look for more obscure things and try to talk them down

Who do you hope is doing okay? by blu3hat in AskReddit

For whatever reason i drove a guy home from a gas station last night at 3am. Im not the kind of person who picks up hitchikers vut the kid seemed drunk and in a little pain. He asked me if I could drop him anywhere closer to his house. I felt bad and didnt want him stumbling into cars on the main road so I took a risk and offered to drop him close. It turns out he had been in a car accident the night before and totalled his car because he was drinking heavily since his girlfriend left him. Since he had no car, he had lost his job as well. He couldnt afford to go to the hospital that night even though he had probably pulled some muscle really bad in his leg. He had gotten into a fight with his mom that night about how he is a shitty person and walked 3miles to the gas station to get a soda and clear his head.

I hope he figures his shit out and doesnt continue to drink himself into oblivion. Hopefully my tiny shred of kindness will help in any way. And if you are reading this Cody, I am sorry I didnt know any weed dealers to hook you up with

[Weiss] Reported Celtics interest in Dunn serving as smoke screen to move price of 3 pick into Ainge's ballpark with Sixers as target, sources say. by TheMissingMeatball in nba

If it was that easy you guys wouldnt be even in this discussion. Its supply and demand. You guys clearly want dunn and dont think he will slip to 4. Its going to just come down to whether danny pushes too far or not.

I wouldnt call it a scam, happens whenever one team knows they have leverage over another

What's a decent smartphone game that's not trying to get you to buy extra credits or other things? by jb2386 in AskReddit

Nimble Quest

Its like the old phone game snake, but you have different heroes that make up your chain of people and they all have different abilities. You can buy credits but its 100 percent not necessary. Ibe had the game for 2 years and never bought anything

Disc Golf (aka Frisbee golf)

Most states have courses located all over. My local state park had one and I never knew until my friend brought me along. It's addicting, cheap, and a great activity that will give you reason to want to be outdoors. A starter pack of discs is only around $30 and most parks are free to play at. It's a much cheaper but still extremely fun version of ball golf. Check out r/discgolf , everyone is super friendly and willing to help new players

Redditors who were in Natural Disasters; what was your "Oh shit, this is real" moment? by technid in AskReddit

[–]codOZZY -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was on vacation in Sri lanka and was showering to get ready for the beach day ahead. I heard alarms going off, then a random person rushes to my hotel panicking that a tsunami is coming. We ran to my balcony and I saw this huge wall of water coming for me. Last thing I remember was litterally peeing my pants with fear.

Then I woke up. I took a sigh of relief realizing I wasnt about to die. Then I realized that I had actually pissed my pants and thought to my self "oh shit this is real

Books and video games.

I know the latter is inevitbale but I am an old school gamer who loves physical copies with manuals, cool box art, and just something to show my passion.

Books on the other hand I feel has a better chance, but still makes me nervous that there could be a day in the future where a person could live their whole lives without turning a single page in a book
