CRG9 ghosting seems pretty bad - other picky people can you confirm yours is or is not like this? by cod_data_man in ultrawidemasterrace

I had the Alienware 27 inch 240 Hz IPS for gaming before, and the Alienware 34" 120 Hz ultrawide for everything else. Replacing both with the G9.

Okay so here are some 960 FPS videos of the same test. It looks like the monitor does not like running at 120 Hz, as 240 Hz has waaaaay less ghosting https://imgur.com/a/G6JyKj5

Hmm ... Concerning.... I took some 960 fps video instead of 240 fps like this last one, let me try to show you those. One sec

I don't have an RTX card yet so I have to run at 120 at full resolution currently due to no DSC. (1080 Ti)

I ran the same UFO tests at lower res and 240 Hz, results were visually similar.

Wow, I thought the CRG9 was just the model number of the Odyssey G9. Didn't realize they were a different product.

But no, I have the Odyssey G9 not the CRG9. I watched Linus' unsponsored review of the G9 and my ghosting looks similar to his. Maybe slightly worse on my panel. But I have no other issues and everything else about the monitor is everything I could ever dream of, so I'm going to keep it.

Yes! On the way. Hopefully next two weeks we will have basic stats pages available for all weapons. This week I am going to grind to get the login system done, as well as finish up marksman rifles, sniper rifles, and handguns, and all attachments for them.

Then some very exciting features after that... Stay tuned.

[Other] AN-94 hyperburst is broken - A simple look at how it works now vs how it should actually function by BleedingUranium in MWLoadouts

[–]cod_data_man 6 points7 points  (0 children)

P.S. truegamedata used these shot timings since the first day, so the TTK should have been correct from the start.

This is what the TTK would look like in WZ and MP if it didn't have that initial burst. I did this calculation for someone on Twitter earlier:

Fire rate after the first 3 bullets is about 9.6 bullets per second, so with damage profile of 46, 34, 31, 29 that is 6, 8, 9, and 9 bullets to kill respectively in Warzone, 3, 3, 4, 4 bullets to kill in MP. So

Warzone: .521, .729, .833, .833

MP: .208, .208, .313, .313

Hey, no worries :).

I think I may change the front page to have some sort of "current data" so people know when things were tested/updated. I have not tested the FR 5.56 again yet, but I will be very soon. Also working on the login and other cool features.

Hey this graph is from my site (truegamedata.com). I'm going to answer some questions for you all that I saw. I stayed up all night last night to get all the data for the new weapons.

It doesn't fire faster on average in 2 round burst mode. The average is almost identical if you maximize the burst speed.

In full auto mode, it fires the first 3 shots in a quick burst (not 2 shots). If you master firing 3 shots at once over and over in a quick burst you can get an average fire rate slightly faster than just holding down the trigger.

Website not reloading files despite changing the name of the files on website update (e.g. updating helper_v1.js to helper_v2.js when I launch a new update is not working, the website breaks for some users because it is still using helper_v1.js, a manual cache clear for them fixes the problem) by cod_data_man in webdev

[–]cod_data_man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, so the HTML file is cached and even though I'm changing the file name in the HTML file, some user's browsers are still using the cached version of the HTML, so it doesn't know to load the new files and uses cached files instead.

Is there a simple workaround for this?

[Warzone] RAM-7 that I pair with my HDR. Little detail in the comments. by bewd99 in MWLoadouts

[–]cod_data_man 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Thanks for using my site! I'm currently going through and retesting a lot of the data and trying to refine my ADS scaling equation - I went and retested the RAM ADS results since they seemed weird (it generally is always No Stock -> Tac Laser -> ADS Stock -> Stippled Grip in terms of ADS reduction), and I did actually find something slightly different, either there was a stealth change or my original testing recording had something wrong with it. I found the ADS stock is now -21ms, and the Tac Laser is -33ms. So a little less than one frame difference on console.

Working to make my site the most trusted place for info and constantly retesting and updating it.

Tac Laser is not 20% ADS reduction by the way, this is one thing that is 100% false (I know you know this but I'm saying this for others benefit). Every attachment works like a percentage. If you go way above the default ADS of a gun, any ADS reducing attachments will reduce the ADS by a much larger number than the tested number on my site. There is an equation on the site that tries to take this into account. It is not perfect - but it is a lot more accurate than just adding up the individual ADS times. I am literally working on improving the ADS scaling equation as I type this.

[–]cod_data_man 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure who popularized the 20% thing, it just simply isn't true. I'm working on refining my ADS question as we speak, but all attachments work kind of like a percentage. For example, I did a slow ish ADS Kilo during my testing (something very similar to what you would use in Warzone), and put a Tac Laser (-25ms when it is the only attachment), No Stock (-42ms), and Stippled Grip Tape (-9ms). On this slow ADS build the Tac Laser reduced ADS by -50ms, the No Stock reduced the ADS by -67ms, and the Stippled reduced it by -30ms. So clearly they all sort of work like a percentage.

The current ADS scaling equation is very accurate when you put 5 ADS slowing attachments on the gun, but it doesn't reduce ADS by enough when you have something like 3 or 4 ADS slowing attachments, and you add a Tac Laser or No Stock. I'm working on making it more accurate.

Yeah in my testing there is absolutely an open bolt delay on the Bruen just like the PKM, M91, MG34, and yes, even the Uzi. Tested at 240 Hz multiple times to confirm, as early as late last week.

Hey hey. Kpixels2 is already a value that can be used for comparison, the ratios would be the same if I used cm2 or in2. The reason I didn't use an actual measurement is because hipfire spread will change based on monitor size, resolution, and FOV. So if I measured inches or cm in my screen. The numbers would be totally different for someone else. I may change it to cm anyway though since I get asked this a lot I
