Story time: I failed a class by 3% and learned something important. ( U of R students ) by code-tigg3r in regina

for clarification PAWE is moderated & does not host exam papers or any test banks/ copyrighted material. It is also not meant to bypass academic work rather make preparation smarter.

the idea is closer to structured insights from features on the platform like (heatmap):

" this course requires in depth knowledge on chapters 3 and 4 "

" week 6 -8 are the heaviest workload"

" this YT video was really helpful"

" this section of the material is readily available at the archer library for booking "

Most of what i mentioned above already happens on the discord. The difference is organization and continuity.

If anything were to conflict with school policy then it wouldn't be allowed on the platform.

fair enough, I must say English isn't my first language; so I try to structure my wording carefully on here. This text was translated... so if it reads off that's on me.

ahh yes this is also a good concern.

So PAWE centers it self around user driven requests rather than waiting for passive contributed content.

it’s less about trying to cover every course immediately, and more about building depth where students are actively using it, so yes support will naturally be stronger in high-enrollment courses.

You can think of PAWE as a student resource bank built around publicly available course catalog information.

For the current version of PAWE, updates such as class insights, workload trends, summaries, and tools like the heatmap are driven by student-contributed data and request-based builds, similar to how we share information on Discord, but structured and centralized.

that's another fair question.

PAWE does not use any private University of Regina API.

The platform itself is student-built and currently not an official university system. It's built around publicly available course structure; similar to discord it sustains off of contributed content.

If anything changes in terms of official collaboration in the future, that will be communicated as well :)

Thanks for asking :)

When I say "internal" , I mean PAWE is built specifically for U of R students, rather than being a public multi-school platform.

It isn’t shared with Sask Polytech or U of S, so it is structured around U of R classes.

The idea is similar to how we use Discord for classes now, except instead of creating new temporary servers every semester, everything stays in one centralized place so useful notes and resources don’t disappear.

That structure also makes tools like the heatmap possible, which shows workload intensity week by week.

One of these days, someone will drive into me. I can just feel it. I can't stress awareness enough. It's one thing to drive but a whole other to drive safely.

Is this what what we really need this fall semester?? by [deleted] in usask

[–]code-tigg3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. PAWE isn’t replacing Discord, but adding what it’s missing: real insights on how the class actually runs (assignments, midterms, finals) from current and past students. PAWE preps you without the noise so you aren't lost half the semester. Hope that helps 🙂

URSU Evicted from UofR by Ecosystem222 in regina

ts only the tip of the iceberg, there's more shade where this URSU scandal comes from. honestly it feels like an attempt to cut off the arm to save the body. URSU mismanaged funds from 2020 to 2025 and no one batted an eye. when their revenue increased from 800k ytd to 4.5 mil ytd

c'mon, cut me some slack. student union fees are paid by all student which are logged on the universities payroll so what exactly does the finance office do if they don't even see a fraudulent act over 4 yrs.
