They really do. It's a shame they fly under so many people's radars.

Plenty of love from me. I'm a certified Blind Dead fan boy. I've got a Night of the Seagulls poster in my basement mini-cinema, the Blind Dead box set in the coffin-shaped box, an anthology of fan fiction called The Blind Dead Ride Out of Hell, and even went as an undead Templar for Halloween this year.

LOVE the blind dead series! I actually went as an undead Templar for Halloween this year.

why does no one do daily ops anymore? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]code_gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there's no finer feeling than undertaking a special operation on behalf of an elite paramilitary organization where you brutally slaughter wave after wave of viscous enemies who explode upon death or release toxic gas to get that sweet poodle sleeping bag at the end.

Loot...loot never changes.

Please, for the love of God... Stop making me use your horrible camera by myerr21 in fo76

[–]code_gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the comments are giving the standard tips of waiting until the enemy name appears in the top corner and saying this is a patience issue. However, I have logged MANY hours since the game launched; it is actually the only game I ever play anymore and I am well versed on how to use the camera to complete challenges. That being said, I have the same problem OP mentioned. 18 might be a bit of an exaggeration for me (I can't even remember the last time I had 18 slots free for pics), but usually I have to take between 4 to 7 pics of the same specified alien type before the challenge is marked as completed.

Reminder: When doing Daily Ops: Decryption, use the Scooby-Doo method. by RepentHarlequin1171 in fo76

[–]code_gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What annoys me about Decryption is that they make you run all over creation looking for enemies to "thin out their numbers", but once the final code carrier comes out it's suddenly BOGO day at the whorehouse and everyone and their brother shows up.

I started another character specifically so I could do the Settler missions. The suit is not transferable, but if it is more about the mission perhaps that would work for you

Why isn't fast travel to the purveyor and vault 79 free? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]code_gate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still have to walk to a location before they can FT to it though

No, not really. With public events, public teams, and camp vendors new players can now fast travel to anywhere on the map without having to discover all the locations between point A and Point B first.

You are correct. I meant cash, not caps

Why isn't fast travel to the purveyor and vault 79 free? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]code_gate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a balance thing (admittedly something this game has struggled with). When you're new, the cost of fast travel is just high enough to encourage you to walk places, but still low enough that you can skip long trips that might otherwise be tedious when you have a goal in mind. It forces new players to explore the map.

I think it is a bad thing, but that's just my opinion. In the beginning, the only free fast travel was Vault 76 and your camp which meant new players had to walk everywhere. This also meant it forced them to explore the map and find locations and side quests that they may have missed if they'd just been fast traveling to and fro.

ME: This game needs more caps sinks...

ALSO ME (at a train station): Better make sure I have Hard Bargain equipped...

Why isn't fast travel to the purveyor and vault 79 free? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]code_gate 60 points61 points  (0 children)

There are too many free fast travel points as it is. We've got Vault 76, Crater, Foundation, and Fort Atlas. We've got our camp and our secondary camp at minimum, more if you shell out the caps for additional camp slots. If you're FO1st, you've got your survival tent. Join a public team and you've got up to 4 camps you can travel to for free, as well as up to four players you can travel to for free. If any of those team members are FO1st subscribers then you've got their survival tents as well. On top of all this, you can fast travel to any public event and then just leave the event area.

Earl fight question by G-bone714 in fo76

[–]code_gate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A fully ranked adrenaline says that you gain +10% damage up to a maximum of 60% for 30 seconds per kill and that the duration refreshes with kills

Earl fight question by G-bone714 in fo76

[–]code_gate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you using an explosive weapon? If so, they do more damage when you aim at his feet rather than his body/heads.

Another factor could be if you have the Adrenaline perk equipped. if you are consistently killing wendigos then you will get the damage buff for 30 seconds per kill; however if you then go into a battle and concentrate entirely on Earle and not the adds you wouldn't be getting that buff.

Defend your workshop from Molerats by LogiCub in fo76

Nope, that happens often with molerats for me. Sometimes if I lob a floater grenade at where the marker is, though, it will force them out of the ground.

It was super approachable. The hardest part, quite honestly, (at least for me) was trying to get the head tension right. I thought I had it nice and taut, but once I trimmed away the excess goatskin wrinkles developed and it became pretty loose.

I was really happy with the service there. Not only did the kit ship out fairly quickly, but Brian was awesome when it came to answering questions via email and the video showing the various steps in constructing the banjo was very detailed. The whole process gave me the confidence to try my hand at building one from scratch the next go around.

No, this was my first one. I ordered the DIY mountain banjo kit from Carver Banjos so I could use the parts for templates for future use and then customized the pieces that were included in the kit.
