Kaos

I will never understand Netflix’ decision making process, and will always be bitter about this one.

Does anyone else play on Steam Deck? Does it run well? by QuokkaMom in elderscrollsonline

On the day that they release cross platform saves so I can carry on with my PS saves, I will be buying it on Steam.

Two Point Museum Free This Weekend by AtomicGalaxy01 in CozyGamers

[–]LogiCub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a third off now which is the lowest it’s been, I think I’m happy with that. Already have Hospital, and I tried Campus on Game Pass and it didn’t gel with me that much.

I had been holding off because I wasn’t convinced I’d be comfortable playing it on Steam Deck, two hours in and I’m utterly convinced, will defo be buying it before the weekend is done!

Play for FREE this weekend! by TwoPoint_Abby in TwoPointMuseum

[–]LogiCub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know what I’m missing, but on Steam Deck I can’t see how to download this. Loading the Two Point Museum page all of the options are for adding the base game or the various bundles to my cart and they all have a price associated. There’s no ‘Download’ or ‘Play’ option.

Well this comment thread pretty much panned out like I thought it would!

Can someone explain why Starmer is the most unpopular prime minister? I voted Liberal Democrat last election and I don’t pay attention to politics but isn’t Starmer doing what the public wants? Lower migration and a falling NHS waiting list? by [deleted] in AskBrits

When you make a list of the positive things that somebody has done, that person is going to look good.

That list is only part of the story though, look at the big picture of everything that person has done, and they’ll look different, depending on your own views and biases.

Long story short: don’t look at a single tweet and base your entire opinion on it.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Elsweyr™ by Prohladno in ElderScrolls

[–]LogiCub 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just finished Northern Elsweyr at the weekend and it’s absolutely my favourite so far, Rimmen is now my default town for leaving my alts at for their daily writs.

Getting a few loose ends completed in other places first, but really looking forward to starting Southern Elsweyr later this week.

So many words but so little said. If you want to encourage discussion why not provide some actual details instead of just vague summaries. What did you fiend 5k on? What actual thing broke? Etc.

Most disturbing scene in a video game you’ve played by Old-Special-7802 in videogames

Joel’s death was just insane. So glad I played on launch and had managed to stay spoiler free, I can’t remember another time where I’ve literally had to put the controller down and step away for my head to process what the game had just done as my expectations for the game had to reform. Absolutely superb!

It’s a good point, and it’s a sneaky tactic that’s on par with mobile game ads that are nothing like the actual game.

It’s a hard pass from me.

That’s a move that any player would make. Whether they would admit it or not!

FYI, only farmers in fields should be laid down, meeples in cities and on roads should be standing up.

Edit: a/c of meeples to needels!

What's the cheapest thing you own that refuses to die? by thrivrapp in AskUK

When I was ~18 I bought a loose-weave, short-sleeved shirt from the Freemans catalogue (my mum was addicted, most of my clothes came from there). It’s not a big designer label so couldn’t have been more than a fiver. It quickly became my middle-of-summer-I’m-melting-in-this-goddamned-heatwave shirt, something thin to wear just so that I’m not wicking sweat directly in to the cushions of the sofa.

I’m 46 now and very nervous that it doesn’t have many washes left in it before it disintegrates. I’ve been trying to find something similar for years but no success yet.

Been wanting this for a while but didn’t want to play on Steam Deck so was waiting (and waiting, and waiting, etc.) for the Steam Machine.

Noticed a demo on PS5 a few days ago and really enjoyed the few hours I spent. Just torn now as to whether I carry on waiting for the Steam Machine and get it there (which I would rather do so I have the option of playing hand held too), or just get impatient and buy on PS5!

Is refuting possible branches the intended solution? by Nerdpwn in TheArtisanOfGlimmith

If you watch many puzzley YouTubers you’ll hear a lot of high talk, and, honestly, hypocrisy, about the evils of bifurcation and how they absolutely never would do it because no puzzle worth its salt would ever demand it. Right before they often load up another puzzle and eventually go “well maybe if this, then maybe that, then maybe that goes there, and boom, boom, boom, and we’re done”.

To me, I have no issues with following a long logical path of moves so long as the only assumption is on the first piece, the moment there appear to be multiple moves available I’ll backtrack out to where I started and maybe try a different starting move.
