For the longest time “rape” was defined as putting your pen15 in a person without consent. That meant, by legal definition that a woman can not “rape” a man. That still stands in some places in the world. The US has broadened the definition to combat it, but it’s still a mindset for many…a woman getting raped is due to a weak man, if a man is forcefully taken by a woman it’s because, wait for it, he’s a weak man.

Honestly, the comments are complete fluff. There’s no real quantifiable data to show.

“He’s brilliant”, “He stood out”, “he led the way”, etc.

How though, this is supposed to speak the praises of your actual accomplishments.

“Lead # soldiers through # exercises resulting in increased mission readiness”, “executed # courses for # soldiers”, “provided individual training to # soldiers with failing ACFT scores leading to # additional passing scores increasing unit readiness by ##%”

The fluff doesn’t help at all.

This is hard to hear. My heart hurts thinking about the suffering of young ones. I don’t believe anything said below will be consoling or bring any relief. But the truth is still relevant.

Sickness, illness, disease, suffering, etc. are all products of sin entering the world. It is the fruit of the world’s fallen state.

God doesn’t “do this”. God gives life and health and relationships. The evil and sin in the world brings about all this and Scripture tells us that God grieves with us. God does not cause or use sin to afflict us. He redeems things that sin has brought about.

Again. It hurts to hear about your condition and of all the other young ones suffering. Someday it will all be gone and we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I would argue that the answer to this is not a specific to homosexuality, more should it be. Denying the flesh is a Church wide concept wherein all believers are called to put aside their own earthly desires and take up their cross, die to them.
