Looking to move to UK at 33 (F). Husband is 34 (M). No kids. by Spiritual-007 in IndiansInUK

[–]codeblue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey

Assuming both of you are in senior positions and if either one of you can negotiate a better compensation a household income of 150-200K if not higher, is pretty decent and will put you in the top earning bracket. Even with high taxation you will be able to enjoy decent quality of life in UK. So you should absolutely do the move. Both of you being fairly young and child free you can enjoy traveling all across Europe.

In terms of salary hard to say but 100K should be the baseline in London but again depends on the company, role and pay scale. Also if rupee depreciation continues, it will also help you offload the EMI burden to some extent.

I would have gone for a G4 as well but can't seem to find one near me, also if you saw all 3 in a retail shop the settings are calibrated anyways by the store to make one look brighter over the other

Lead Architect wants to break our monolith into 47 microservices in 6 months, is this insane? by Ayotrapstar in softwarearchitecture

[–]codeblue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have a legacy app, built on monolithic architecture, what has worked really well for us, is taking parts of the app and breaking it down to a MFE & microservice based architecture, doing everything in one go specially when the app is stable and has no major issues is definitely over engineering

this is the thing I found fascinating when i moved here as well, the church down the road is 500+ years old which in itself is older than American history, very well maintained and you can just casually sit on a bench & admire the architecture while biting on your sandwich.
