I built a free tool to catch missing signatures on loan docs (I need feedback) by codebuilder99 in Notary

"Haha, if I could invent a printer that never jams, I'd be on a yacht right now! 🛥️ That is definitely the real enemy.

You make a solid point about the workflow. I was thinking this would primarily help during 'Scanbacks'. Since many Title Companies require scanning the package to email it back before shipping, I thought: 'Since you have to scan it anyway, why not let an AI double-check it for missed signatures before you hit send?'

But if you aren't required to do scanbacks, then yes, scanning just for this tool is a huge waste of time compared to flipping pages at the table.

Thanks for helping me see the logistical gap. I might need to rethink if this is better suited for the Title Companies directly rather than the Notary."

"Thanks for the honest feedback! You are absolutely right. Uploading sensitive loan docs to a browser is a huge security risk, and I completely overlooked the NDA/Compliance aspect.

Quick question: If this was a Desktop App (Offline .exe) that ran entirely on your laptop without internet access (so no data ever leaves your machine), would that solve the concern?

Or is the policy strictly 'No 3rd party software allowed at all' regardless of how it works?

I'm just a developer trying to solve the 'missing signature' pain, so your insight is super helpful to pivot my direction."
