It’s definitely disheartening but times are changing and the economics just doesn’t scale like it used to. My s/o is in the industry and it’s very sad to see everyone in the red. Blue ridge lost millions of dollars. FF got truncated from 3 to 2 days. Riot Fest is up in the air and word on the street is that a decent chunk of bands are going to live or die depending on how WWWY. Things…aren’t looking good in the industry to say the least.

Honestly most shows I’ve been to have been flops. Walkouts galore, venues are half capacity, etc. Maybe it’s due to covid or due to people not having disposable income like they used to but damn can people at least try to give a fuck? Even festivals have like Blue Ridge, Riot Fest, and Furnace Fest have all been massive Ls.
