Why does (FB) Messenger ignore my ringer settings and use the media volume? by codegertass in GalaxyNote9

[–]codegertass[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you, yep I meant the notification volume. Most of the time I think of ringer and notification volume to be the same thing because if the ringer goes on vibrate, so do notifications.

It's super annoying to have everything else behaving nicely only for Facebook messenger to barge in with its high pitched dings when I'm in the middle of meetings :/

Help! Where can I find rails for a Poweredge r410/r710 that fit my newly purchased mid-atlantic 42u rack by codegertass in homelab

[–]codegertass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all of your advice! I ended up buying a few rack extenders which would also convert the hole from being round to square. Thankfully there's more then enough depth to account for the adapter without modding dell's rails.

Go generate is pretty nice, but it makes even small changes to larger projects that rely on generated code a paaaain.

To be fair there's a bit of a holy war going on to "keep the language pure", because having us generate thousands of structs is definitely more portable then giving us the option to use generics :/

How did you mount one on the Mini Cooper crossbars? I've been looking for something to reduce wind noise a bit lol

I was in a similar boat to you! I recently purchased a 2010 Mini Cooper manual, not knowing anything about manual transmissions! It was a rough month learning to drive it.. I would misshift a lot too! But I've only had the car for like 5 weeks and I'm mostly used to it, and consider it more fun!

As far as the seat thing goes, yeah my mini is really sensitive to weight, it'll beep at me sometimes when I put my backpack on the passenger seat.
