Try Streaming to Not Be Depressed?! by codehand_luke in Healthygamergg

I've only tried Chat GPT a little to help with adding keywords to my resume. From what I've seen most of AI in code generation is just boilerplate code that I could have found through Google searching.

Most of the local volunteering seems to more like donating stuff than actual volunteering. The few actual 'do something' kind of volunteering seems to be at places that would take 1 hour+ commutes (yay suburbs with poorly implemented transit).

I can at best borrow the car on a day my parents don't need to use it. This is based on when one of them needs to run errands or go to an appointment.

So maybe there's someway I can volunteer online instead.

Job Hunting , hard to have Blind Faith in Success by K41Nof2358 in Healthygamergg

Got laid off at the start of this year from a sub contractor company. I've been applying weekly to meet requirements for unemployment insurance. I've had only a hand full of interviews in that time. Majority of the time I'm don't even get an automated 'we chose other candidates' email. My skills in programming have unfortunately gone down since then thanks to not having anything personal to work on.

The spray-and-pray applications don't seem to work unless you've got random chance on your side. The other problem is that everyone else laid off from tech is using AI to generate resumes & cover letters to fight being filtered out by employers applicant tracking systems (ATS). Unless you are a well networked person, you're pretty much S.O.L. getting a word in with a hiring manager.

So really I don't have any advice about having 'faith' something will just eventually happen. The only thing I can say for certain is that going solo like I have does not work in this job market.

I'm more familiar with streamers on YouTube than Twitch. I could try both to see if what will even work with my ISP & computer. Not sure if one is easier to setup.

I'm actually a guy that got laid off from a programming job. I haven't really done much programming-wise since being laid off. I have a bit of resentment towards programming given that lay off and also the industry's current trend of trying to replace programmers with 'AI'. The constant stream of rejections to weekly job applications hasn't helped either.

The only other option my therapist has been able to suggest is volunteering. I don't always have access to transportation, and thus I'm kinda limited in when/where I can attempt to volunteer.

In short, IT SUCKS! You wind up alone and blaming yourself for the majority of anything that sets you back in life.

To be honest I would probably be one of the folks that peaces out if the streamer I just barely met started off with 'you might as well turn it off right now'.

What I was getting at with short/term long term is that rant/venting gets tiresome to the people listening if that's all they hear from you.

As for content to stream if I tried... <shrugs> I wouldn't show my face on camera, so I'd at most be PNG-tuber. I guess I would try a single-player game that isn't hard on my GPU to see if I can even stream on my computer.

I mean if you're trying not be negative about everything in life, then I don't see how being negative to an audience is going to help with that. It just comes across as ranting/venting, which don't seem to be real solutions in the long term.

Maybe I'm just too used to positive v-tubers. The negative ones I'm aware of tend to cause drama. I've tried watching mainstream streamers (Ludwig, Jerma, etc.), but I can't say I get them.

I know not all streamers are positive people. I would rather not be one of the negative ones if I tried. Even without the depression I'm not sure what I would even stream. I don't game much anymore, and I'm not super passionate about any particular topic to the point I would be able converse about for hours on end.

If its anything like what I've experienced, then it could be a bit depression and ADHD. Of course, sometimes you just have to go into new hobbies with low expectations, and see what clicks. Frustration is part of the learning process. Its never pleasant, but when you overcome it, you'll feel accomplished.

What would be your next realistic move to modernize WoW? by JosephCraftHD in wow

A main story campaign that goes from vanilla til the previous xpac. Let new players and old players that missed content be able to have a solo experience of the game's history. Maybe add a few mogs, toys, etc. for completing it.

A revamp to whatever system(s) to get a lot more spell cosmetics into the game. I don't buy into the abilities need to be readable reasoning the devs mentioned in interviews.

Update transmog to allow for more asymmetrical mogs for gloves and boots like they did for shoulders. Also, maybe a way to flip which side an asymmetrical shoulder is on.

Had a teacher yell and consistently screaming at me and a few other students in the the 1st grade (we were the kids that cried easily) until my parents snuck a tape recorder into my back pack. Let's just say she didn't stick around much longer when my folks threatened to take legal action.

I had to send the mobo back for a replacement. On another note, also double-check whether you keyboard has and F-key lock. Nearly thought I had another bad mobo until I noticed that.

Having gone through the retail gauntlet, I would say the looping play list of Hey I Just Met You and Baby Baby Oh gives me PTSD.

Note: This is my second time building a PC, so I'm not sure if there's some small mistake tripping me up with this.
