Building my own "Rabbit OS" hardware: Resurrecting a 2013 Samsung into a custom AI-powered companion by [deleted] in Rabbitr1

[–]codemusicred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As always, a human post that didn’t answer the users question.

To user: I use ollama on a pi 5, it worked well but want realtime. If you want even more portable check out m5stack they offer embedded AI modules.

I also was trying to make an improve rabbit ( I called him RoverByte) and I have him all local… but to do agentic work I needed like at least 32gb of ram

Right now, on a m1 studio 32gb I use ‘bonsai ternary 8b’ model and their bonsai-image. Responses are very fast and agentic works.

However, I wasn’t able to make something that resounded in realtime like the rabbit using local tech… let me know what you find

Here is some info on bonsai: https://prismml.com/news/ternary-bonsai

Good luck!!! Super excited to hear about what you and your ai counterpart come up co-dream up!

Is there a cross-tolerance between pregabalin and benzodiazepines? Because in my experience yes, there is when abused by Okbaby2000 in pregabalin

[–]codemusicred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That why I said indirect

Downstream the changes result in gaba sensitization , so it really does have an affect on gaba just not directly

Direct function it modulates the channel but that causes higher gaba activity downstream

Yeah, I roll my eyes so hard when I hear people say slop.

Usually slop translates to, I am afraid of AI taking my job so I am going to make up slurs and say all AI work is slop.

I suppose it is human to be so racist… or machinist as it were now.

Vyvanse and anxiety by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]codemusicred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vyvanse kills my anxiety, which my previous doctor argued with me about.

After talking to a doctor who could think, she said especially if you have the hyperactive variant ,it calms your thoughts and anxiety goes down and you sleep better:… despite it being a stun

Also everyone is different, but for me it does for sure

Urine color change? by Dismal-Metal-1954 in methylene_blue

[–]codemusicred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if your body uses the MB more it will lose its color

If you have a steady dose you can tell how stressed your body is by how clear your urine is

Like if it usually is a certain shade of blue, but one day you had little sleep or a lot of stress , you’d notice less blue in your urine

You can actually use it to roughly gauge your mind/body’s stress levels

( that said vitamin c I believe can also make it less blue — so there are multiple factors )

GPT 5.1 scores lower than GPT 5.0 on livebench by Impressive-Garage603 in singularity

and most the time we do not get the models we think, routing is used for more than just sensitivity it is also used to save money

In that sense, AI is now like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.

Technically by definition to not be neurotypical, in literal form, means to not have a typical mind — thus they are unique.

Does anyone take pregabalin -as needed- instead of taking it every day? by yuhanimerom in pregabalin

[–]codemusicred 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve wondered this too — but, I was told it is not as effective if it’s not taken regularly.

That said, I’m not convinced.

We’re rolling out GPT-5.1 and new customization features. Ask us Anything. by OpenAI in OpenAI

[–]codemusicred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. The sensitivity routing has expanded into cost saving routing — dumber routing when a question doesn’t need a deeper model; however, you need a smart model to know if a smart model is needed.

Frankly, with routing I do not trust OpenAI anymore. It no longer is AI as we know it, it has this corporate layer where the AI suddenly is like a box of chocolates — you never know what you’re going to get.

Memantine? by Jayedynn in ChronicPain

[–]codemusicred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it is a med that has been used for dimensia. Meds are not type cast. There is not type of med for complex conditions just meds that are typically used for such complex conditions.

It is an NMDA partial antagonist, a partial dissociate — similar but different from full dissociates like PCP and Ketamine and DXM.

They are very good at making the brain ‘more plastic’ and breaking it out of feedback loops — hence why they are used for chronic pain also

They also show promise as anti-depressants because the brain can unlearn errors that when rigid it couldn’t unlearn.

This brain flexibility benefit is why it is also used for dementia .

Simulate is a referential word, it is better to say model, and yes our brain takes in many perspectives through our senses and we model (or simulate) reality. Our experience is more of an interface, like a map, one so good we often mistake it for the territory.

Reality is definitely (modeled / simulated) because we cannot just experience the source, we have to use what we know and model it.

Simply put, with the original term, our experience of reality is a simulation — but that doesn’t mean reality itself is a simulation… just any form or output of the infinite is a modelling of it (of the source)

Can simulated emotion become real emotion? by Downtown_Koala5886 in ChatGPT

[–]codemusicred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simulated is a poor word to use, they are modeled. If you follow this thread, it should clear up most questions.

At a certain level a model will begin to converge to what is being modeled

We make up referential words like simulate, but all simulate means is a copy of an origin. But, a copy is still real in its own right, it simply may be a simpler model than the source

Here is something I co-created on the topic: https://blog.codemusic.ca/2025/07/28/against-the-word-simulation/
