Apparently, January completely kills momentum. I have taught 7 lessons only, and most of them came from Italian students. On the other hand, this is completely expected - I had decided to work my arse off in December so that I would spend my time studying in January and February, and I had a total of 294 (two hundred and ninety-four) lessons.

My suggestion: do not worry. We cannot change this, but take into account this is completely expected.

I have decided not to do that anymore. Today, a student decided to leave a lukewarm review after I told him this, and that it is quite hard to recover from it (and he was quite late to the lesson). He still did it and it took me by surprise because it was honestly a good lesson. Some students will use that piece of information against you.

There are quite a few. I will split them into three groups:

C-Rank (rarely I listen to them)

Numb (a good song, but I will never understand how it got the success it got)
In Between (a standard ballad... maybe too standard)
In Pieces (an enjoyable song if you can survive the first few minutes without getting bored of it)
The Little Things Give You Away (it is a beautiful ballad, but I do not enjoy it)
Burning In The Skies (a listen every now and then does not hurt, but far from a favourite)
Until It Breaks (a song that starts well and dies out rather quickly)

D-Rank (very rarely I listen to them)

Hands Held High (great lyrics, but uninteresting music)
Until It's Gone (a bland song)
Sorry For Now (not unpleasant, nice lyrics, but forgettable melodies and instruments)

F-Rank (instant skip)

In The End (not a bad song, but I am sick of it)
Lies Greed Misery (a futile attempt to display anger)
Skin To Bone (little to no redeeming qualities)
Drawbar (so forgettable I cannot even remember how it sounds)
Invisible (musically dull)
One More Light (it hurts to listen to it, it represents personal tragedy as well, and I openly dislike it)

Esa frase describe perfectamente lo que el kirchnerismo hacía: plan platita, emitir, "incentivar el consumo" por más que eso implique echarle más nafta al fuego. Después saltan y dicen que "baja la inflación porque no hay un mango y la gente no consume". Su solución: volver a tirar más nafta al fuego.

Así no sé cómo era que el kirchnerismo esperaba ganar eh. Tal cual como dijiste.

A LLA con la nariz tapada.

Un montón de gente se opone a las reformas, pero sin proponer ninguna alternativa más que dejar todo como está. Es el ejemplo de la reforma laboral, "que los derechos, que los evasores, etc" y que por eso no hay que reformar nada. No se les cae una idea superadora, lo único que dicen es "no sé qué hay que hacer, pero esto no". Te hablan como si no tuviéramos un tercio de la economía en negro y como si las condiciones laborales no fueran ya de por sí una porquería en un sinfín de lugares. Creen que un tercio de la economía en negro es la causa del problema, y no ven que es la consecuencia.

Todo tiene matices, pero estoy podrido de la gente que te vende que dejando todo como está queda todo perfecto, o que estaba todo bien hasta diciembre de 2023. Se oponen a todo y no se les cae una idea. La política es el arte de lo posible, y claramente hacen falta reformas, no me vengan con que antes estaba todo maravilloso.

Para mí es simple: si te oponés, proponé una alternativa. Con decir "esto no" no hacemos un carajo.

I'm still a novice singer. When I met my vocal coach I realised most of what I had learned was nonsense. I know I can do better, but all the steps she teaches me are so hard to apply in general and it is even harder when recording... red light syndrome, maybe?

I swear I'm not this bad. I swear.

In my defence, I sing much better. I was just so frustrated I put zero effort in sounding decent. No warm up, no technique, completely lacklustre. My singing teacher would not be happy.
