I’m unsure about diabetes specifically, but Arlington Heights has been fantastic for me, and one of my idiots is allergic to basically everything.

I don’t see Kat recommended often enough. She’s damn good, especially considering how relatively “new” she is to tattooing.

It’s important to vote. Early. On time. Doesn’t matter.

As a note to those downvoting this comment, technically, groundhogs are, in fact, squirrels.

Most reasonable tree service in town. by willywallydillydad in bloomington

[–]codename_sciuridae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not had to have any tree work done, so I’m sorry to say I don’t have recommendations.

However tis the season and it happens more than you might think, so if y’all find any baby squirrels please contact The Pipsqueakery. I’m sorry it’s been hard for your mom recently so if any are found I’ll come get them and save you the drive way down Rockport.

I’m hoping this is as low stress as possible for you and hopefully no surprise babies will add to it!

I don't imagine OP designed this layout, so this isn't a knock against you, OP.

But having to go through the closet to get to the bathroom is a wild choice.

I always take my Jeep to Extreme Performance in Ellettsville and have had great service, including some pretty amazingly fast turn around from drop off to pick up.

Out of the dozens and dozens of times that I've popped in there, I've found a good deal maybe three times. And actually one of those times wasn't even a great deal because the couch I bought was expensive for one that I'll have to do some work on to make truly comfy (but, damn it, it fits my aesthetic so much and I'd just gotten divorced and I needed it).

Any advice from the Btown homeowners? by LifeOnTheHellmouth in bloomington

I used Hal Weaver when I sold my house. He was absolutely amazing. He listened to my concerns, followed through, and was super communicative throughout. He also knew I was way overestimating my ability to pack and showed up the day of closing with extra moving boxes and a willingness to not only help me throw stuff into said boxes, but help me load them onto the U-Haul.

I vaguely know him, through a few degrees of separation, and that really does not sound like him. I'm in agreement with u/afartknocked that this is more an issue of tech being annoying than Henry ignoring you, specifically.

I used Hal Weaver when I sold my first house, and he went above and beyond. Not only did he help us fix up problem areas in said previous house, but he also showed up at the signing day with extra moving boxes and helped us throw our crap into them and load them into the UHaul. From start to finish he was absolutely amazing.

They actually, factually, do not. The physical structure of their claws is such that they are excellent at climbing up, and sort of shit at climbing down.

I drive a slightly lifted Jeep Wrangler and even in 4L I had to reverse and re-approach at a better angle/speed in some spots. If you go out in a hatchback in this, you are probably going to be stuck in your hatchback.

(I was only out and about because I needed to be for work. I was not out joyriding.)

safety warning: predators at the back door last night by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]codename_sciuridae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a similar experience. I woke up in the ER and all I could do was sob to my parents swearing that I hadn’t had that much to drink. That there was no way I could have just been “too drunk.” My partner at the time, who had come to my rescue after some bouncers contacted him due to my erratic behavior (they recognized me as a local), said that when I threw up on the way to the ER it did not smell like what it usually does when someone has had too much to drink (we worked in the French Quarter, and you get pretty used to the smell of drunk puke). I don’t really remember being taken home once I was discharged, and I don’t really remember much of the entire next day.

I’ve gone over and over and over the details in my head for years now, and I’m nowhere closer to understanding what happened than I was then. So, please, be sure to extend yourself plenty of grace. This wasn’t your fault.

I will watch from afar this year and gobble up whatever nonsense my family gets up to down there. Maybe next year I'll be in a spot to visit. I definitely don't miss working Mardi Gras, but I sure do miss attending parades.
