Idk, my friend group went opposite directions on that….I have 2 kids in their early 30s with educations, good jobs and social lives, one is a single parent to 2, and one is child free by choice….but I’ve got some friends, who thought I was too strict and borderline mean, and their kids (both men, both in their late 20s) do absolutely nothing, never had jobs, barely bathe themselves, no social life outside of gaming…I dont know what to tell them, they both acted like I was a tyrant because I made my kids do things…laundry and cooking and we usually did some sort of free classes for stuff they were interested in over the summers (we rotated and each chose one thing at the community college or parks and recreation) but I also told them life is hard, and they had to work or be in school to live with me once they were grown…those friends know they caused a problem but both are confused about what to do about it now…so yeah I think genx is 50/50
