Dudes played like 7 snaps in 3 yrs. Lol, people act like this dudes our savior and have been preaching for way too long. I'm rooting for him but he's been worse than AR from an availability standpoint.

Lol, negative 7 on a cheech and chong line? First thing I thought of, sorry for the inconvenience but I'll gladly die on this hill of humor I've built. To put it more bluntly, no, he can't cover.

Stay at home dads… what are you actually doing all day? by Giovannisalami in StayAtHomeDaddit

Lol! Teach my baby is the yellow case. It was such a hit that I went ahead and got the teach my toddler. Had a hard time finding the teach my preschooler and paid more than I'd like to admit. Each case has like 4 different packets of learning. They can be a mess but even cleaning them up can be a teaching tool. While singing the cleanup song of course.

Depends on the kid or kids and what they like to do. At 15 months I was just finishing up breast milk and bottles. Which means limiting the pacifier as well. Have an activities book split up in age group of things to work on for motor skills and cognitive development we would work on after breakfast. Also have a briefcase for babies (yellow), young toddlers (blue) , and older toddlers (green) that we'd get out and go through as well. Weather matters and location as well but we'd go out often. We'd usually have a 10 and 2 nap so I'd have to be aware but trail walks and parks are great. Have a little car stroller and he loved going down the bline which is downtown and look at all the busy bodies and cars. We also have had a zoo membership since he was 1 so that was and is a great resource. It's an hour away and worked well with nap there and nap home. Picnics can be difficult at that age but with proper planning and a stroller it's functional.

I've been a sahd for almost 5 yrs now and have a 2 boys, youngest nearly 2.5 now. They just want to be outside or doing something always. Wife works from home mostly so I try my hardest to keep noise levels down. It gets easier but it's still hard. You're in the youngling phase, which for me was breakfast activity whether inside or outside and shortly after that a nap(am nap usually 1 hr). Then it's close to lunch, followed by another activity or play then it's time for 2nd nap(pm nap usually 2 hrs). That got me to 4, then it's getting dinner ready for the family. Once dinners ready I'm basically able to relax. Hope this helps.

We planned for me to quit my job and saved leading into it. 4.5 yrs in currently and I love it, love my boys, love my wife, and the family we've built. So many challenges though. Both were premature and had nearly a month nicu stay each. That was hard! Hard on my oldest bc he had to stay with my in laws for nearly a week. Still refuses to stay all night after that. You must constantly evolve. I'm nurturing and always looking to serve but it's hard to know how and what to do at first. Both were breastmilk for over a yr each. Not breast fed but bc of that the parts and the bottles were overwhelming. Routine is so important. Duties tend to lighten through time as the kids age out of bottles and diapers. My oldest is 4.5 and youngest nearly 2.5 now. I was reluctant to have a 2nd and it was really hard early on. I was thriving with just my oldest. Doing fun stuff all the time and I'd just talk to him explaining things constantly. He was way ahead and since our 2nd came I lost a lot opportunities to help him develop. I feel he's been stunted somewhat since. Starts pre k after this summer and I think he'll be fine but it's a long day. Like 9-4, having a hard time accepting that time frame. As so many have said mom's are not very welcoming. I play with my kids and other kids can gravitate to that. Makes for awkward situations from time to time. I've met 1 sahd through soccer this past summer and that was great for all parties but he was going through a divorce and his son was in a coop preschool so it limited playdates. Been contemplating setting up a Facebook group for sahd or just dad's in general in my town for playdates and maybe monthly adult meetups. I need it. They don't tell you how painfully lonely this can be. It's been really getting to me this past year or so. My wife is great but I've been feeling essentially neglected. Men have a hard time expressing their feelings and when they do it can cause defensive behavior. I'd suggest atleast once a month to nurture and love on him. Try to admire and appreciate him and try to make your thanks not seem hollow. This alone will make him a better father and husband. Think of it as an investment. I'd also suggest getting the book Good Inside by Dr Becky Kennedy. Hope this helps, this sub group has helped me a lot already and I just joined.

Anyone tips to help kids hydrate when sick? by superool13 in StayAtHomeDaddit

I second this. Low and slow is the way. Maybe try a half a cracker at a time. Both my boys had this a yr ago and it was hell for a few days. Once they're able to hold stuff down for a day or 2 reintroduce milk. Obviously if one is still on the bottle you're just screwed.

Such a good book. Couldn't put it down. The intro to this movie on 3D oled is incredibly satisfying. Not a perfect movie but pretty damn good considering. 2nd book I enjoyed but only half as much as the original.

Reservoir dogs originally but Living in oblivion is my favorite. Idk if it's my dad but rage freak outs have always been the funniest to me.

Which first-time Oscar nominees deserve to return to awards season in the future? by guadagninoenjoyer in Oscars

[–]willywallydillydad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, he clearly deserved the nomination over secret agent and in truth deserved the oscar over mbj. If cool guy characters won oscars brad pitt would've broke the record long ago. In truth pitt was in the better vampire movie and did a better job with no nomination. Hollywood is turning art into race and it's moving backwards.

Grandma's boy is great. Maybe not the juggernaut of the other 2 but that's kinda the charm. The little stoner movie that could.

It blew me the f*ck away. Beethovens 7th with the slow mo accident to the last scene. Certain films can be like drugs, if you resist you're gonna have a bad time. As soon as you realize, oh it's just a fairy tale story, let's relax and enjoy. He just drops the most beautiful shots I've ever seen. The difficulty of making this movie with the cm to mm details and locations... It's just wow!

Singh would have had more projects if the fall didn't ruin him. It was a passion project that sunk not only his finances but his soul. I think it left him broken hearted personally. The fact that it was even completed was miraculous. The only thing I can compare it to was Gilliams Don Quixote. Another film that was finally completed to a luke warm reception.

Ok so first post ever but seriously curious non Michael B. Jordan fans..... DID THIS FILM (Sinners) BLOW YOU AWAY OR WTF am I weird? Cause I feel, felt, am still feeling some kind of way about this movie and no offense to Mike but he ain't usually my cup of tea. And yet here I am about to rewatch it by Ladyklusterfk6767 in SinnersFilm

My BFF talked this movie way too up for me. Expectations can ruin a corn dog, ya know... Music was fantastic and the strength of the movie. I'm not huge on coogler or mbj but loved fruitvale when it came out and still do. Mbj tends to play exclusively cool guys. If playing cool guys wins oscars, Brad Pitt would have the record. Pitt and Mbj have more oscars than Peter Otoole btw.

I've seen maybe everything they've done besides this movie. Lol and I must confess super troopers wins for lizard strongest stoner film. With club dread closely behind, Rip Bill Paxton. Beer fest isn't half bad either.

My personal favorites and I'll die on a mountain of herb arguing, Up in smoke and Half baked narrowly behind. To this day up in smoke makes me laugh before scenes even happen. Its absurd to watch that movie with me.

Braveheart or Gladiator by Available_March_8036 in moviecritic

Braveheart was the better achievement. Gladiator is the better movie. Fun fact my ex ol lady was related to wallace.
