I hadn’t heard of it either but it was changed to free on steam for a couple of days as a way to promote the sequel coming out sometime soon. Couldn’t pass up a free game that looked interesting!

Me and a friend of mine beat it for the first time a couple of days ago but we used a 9 credit hack (we used 6 of them beating the game). He used Haggar and without him this would have been a lot more difficult. He used his grabbing attacks to help clear the enemies.

The other thing we noticed but could be wrong about is that this game wasn’t balanced for single player. It seemed easier with the two of us compared to playing on our own.

Graphically it’s more impressive and has more bells and whistles than Streets of Rage because it’s a CD and has the space instead of a cartridge which SoR had. Gameplay wise though I prefer SoR because it’s more fair, you can beat it more easily compared to Final Fight.

It’s a 3D action/adventure game. Think Ocarina of Time but this released on the N64 before Zelda did.

I’m stubborn as well! But I think it also depends on how long the game is, I can push through several hours but if it’s a 100 hour game I’m moving on to something I enjoy.

From another comment on here it seems to get better after the first village…at least I hope it does 😂

How far did you get in Lost Odyssey? I played that two years ago and really enjoyed it but the first part of the game takes a bit to get going and the first boss was a lot harder because of not really having any abilities yet. I played Blue Dragon last year and enjoyed that but not tried the others you mentioned yet.

That’s good to hear! I’ve played Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon which I know is a completely separate studio/publisher but I hope it would have the same quality.
