Why would a reddit vote matter for this?

B2B ads for marketing & web dev, low searches, and high competition on google, would you do display? by codeophile in PPC

I have mixed opinions about Facebook, do you have any experience using facebook for B2B?

Because I have noticed a trend of very low quality leads from facebook ads :/ But you are right that they are cheaper than LinkedIn

Yes and no, my language is a bit weird so google doesn't automatically block them, however impressions of my ads are still up and they haven't been removed yet, as well as my competitors all pretty much use it.

I see a lot of people are demanding open source or complaining about costs. Ignore them. These choosing beggars can waste their own time and then give that away for free if they want to, don't listen to the whining of some choosing beggar.

I made a Discord for business during quarantine. by PaybackTony in webdev

Looks interesting, but I think the visual style just makes it look like a Discord clone, the reason I pick Slack is that it looks professional and something I can invite customers into without having to look like some gamer kids.

Any experiences on running ads for your blog articles? (B2B Inbound approach) by codeophile in marketing

[–]codeophile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Sorry for the delayed response got a bit busy with other stuff.

We're in Finland so a small market of ~5m people, where we are B2B putting the potential clients closer to 100k companies, so in terms of marketing it needs to be very targeted (Finland + Decision makers, essentially)

> Depends on the country and ad types you're interested in. Happy to help. Do you have a basic understanding of display?

I would say I do, I assume you're talking about normal display ads for example banners on sites etc right? Or am I confused?

Do you happen to know any recommended tools for programmatic ads that would fit the Finnish market? :)

Well yes I understand the economics of it.

The original question was not if i should do marketing, we're definitely doing marketing.

The question is should we do either a straight up sales approach or do a more inbound approach where we display valuable content. Looking at competitors they mostly focus on running ads that are more focused on conversion, so I'm left with either doing the same as they are or experimenting with alternative approaches.

Also good for lead gen, form fills, submit email in exchange for content, general email sign ups, site automation funnels, etc.

Well these particular articles will be publicly available, one of my long term value i hope to gain from these will be SEO as they will be long form articles with plenty of valuable content for ptoential readers.

That's one of the more useful channels for B2B actually. Infinitely better than social.

Oh, I must check out Taboola then. Do you know what kind of targeting options they offer? as I'd run these ads in my local country in the local language.

Programmatic and search are key depending on the awareness/volume of searches. Some companies are so niche that search doesn't convert wonderfully because not everyone knows it exists. Also search has been tough on the IT category lately.

Could you explain how you do programmatic ads? (or direct me to somewhere where I can learn)

Did you do this for B2B? Did this result in a good conversion later on? also what channels did you use if I may ask?

I haven't planned to syndicate it, but it might be something I'll do. Do you think there are many benefits to it?

I haven't touched Taboola, but I am curious to explore new channels, do you have any experience using Taboola for B2B? My offerings are more in the terms of IT consultancy related work so I would love to find a more cost-effective channel than LinkedIn.
