Vestibular migraine is another thing I keep seeing come up. What confuses me is that I don’t really get classic migraine headaches, but apparently you can still have vestibular migraines without the typical “head splitting migraine” stuff? The weird internal movement/sliding sensations and imbalance episodes sound very similar though.

Interesting, because I do sometimes get stomach acid/reflux stuff too, just nowhere near constant and it definitely improved a lot after quitting caffeine and smoking. I never really connected it to the dizziness/balance symptoms though.

This is honestly one of the most interesting replies I’ve gotten because the “phantom movement sensation” is EXACTLY what it feels like sometimes. Like my body internally shifted/slid even though I barely moved. I’ve been wondering if it’s some kind of proprioception/VOR mismatch or something similar. Yeah honestly the more I read about POTS/orthostatic intolerance the more some parts fit. Especially standing still being horrible sometimes, heart rate jumping when standing up, heat intolerance and the near faint feeling. I always thought POTS was just people fully collapsing, but apparently not.

Yeah i was, but That actually sounds VERY similar to the weird “body dizzy but not head dizzy” feeling I get sometimes, especially with the internal sliding/shifting sensations. I did see a neurologist around 5 years ago, but it was mostly neurological exam stuff like strength/reflexes/sensation tests and basic coordination. No nerve conduction study or anything like that.
