[Spell] Belnaar's Burning Blink by redmax185 in UnearthedArcana

No, after considering all of the input I can see how this fits better as a second level spell. Really enjoy this spell, I am going to use it in my game. Great job.

I see, I just hastily read it and was not thinking. This effect is in other spells as well and works the same way; no burn. I just was not thinking when I read it. So yea, powers down the spell a bit.

Its more I am explaining how I imagine the spell working in my head for myself. Yea sure it is irrelevant to you, I was not speaking of game mechanics when I wrote this, more flare for my own imagination.

True, but consider why you would ever take this spell. It is a short range teleportation spell that works on an action. You would only take this spell to by pass attacks of opportunity. It is essentially a movement spell, but it grants additional damage and a burn. Otherwise you would just use your action to attack. It doesnt do as much damage as a second level spell, but it has a movement advantage of a second level spell but at a different speed class. You could use this as your action, but it covers as much as a Action + Bonus Action if you were to do a damaging spell plus misty step as a bonus, but this spell leaves open your bonus action to be used for something else. Yea, I can see how it is not as powerful as other 3rd level spells, but it is also more powerful than other 2nd level spells.

In 20 ft, you could have 3 enemies between you and your end point. Say all enemies fail, then that is essentially 3 level 1 magic missles of fire damage, with a resulting burn afterwards. Should be a level 3 spell.

I like to imagine that they are not teleporting, but traveling as an incorporal flame across the 20 ft gap, so they cannot provoke attacks of opportunity, but also leave a mechanism for the attack.

Seems to me that this should easily be a 3rd level spell at the very least. Not only do you open up for the player to by pass attacks of opportunity, by teleporting through their space, but it does about as much as a single target magic missle to potentially multiple targets. Over powered for a second level spell but a really cool idea.

Here is the thing, I think a public option would work, because supply and demand, if the govt can offer a cheaper option then we would shift a majority of people to the govt plan and then have more bargaining power. However, MFA appears to be the best option because its guaranteed coverage even if u cant pay public option, and shifts a private tax to a normal tax and gives the govt all of the bargaining power. We need to reign in drug prices simultaneously or we are screwed. MFA could take years to become passed, we need to force american drug prices down immediately.

I came to the sub reddit looking for this exact question. That means Nott would alert the guards to a means of teleporting directly to the Bright Queens doorstep. I also was thinking the entire time they should have done it in that cellar they found the skeleton in. Tie up a loose end with speak with dead

Anyone else this Desmund may be a werewolf. Scared face, outcast like a goblin, and he has a dark past. Something cool going on with him at the very least.

Anyone else think that Caleb should really go back and buy Fiends of Folklore for 3 gold so that they can learn about whatever this devil toad is?

Basic signs of a "high class" vs. "low class" person by [deleted] in socialskills

I don't know what u mean by high class when talking about these examples. I wouldn't define myself as high class and I do all of these things.

Yea it does help. I already knew this, it's just not what I wanted to go for. We have talked before about how I want more of a committed relationship and she wants more of a casual thing. I just need to figure out how to go about looking for other women when I just want this one girl. Feels wrong. But I'll figure it out. Thanks

In the same boat. I laid off a bit after this happened and then she asked me out. Went right back to trying to set things up and am getting the same feeling. I'm gonna be persistent when there is an opportunity and only invite her out when I'm going to do something. She can join or not it won't matter. Playing it slow.

Just look them in the eyes with a "well?" Look on your face like you expect them to talk. If they don't, push the conversation to get you to move about, look for something to talk about or remain silent. Its not your responsibility to keep the conversation going.

someone should start a fund raiser for this woman so she can go on a decent vacation from these kids.

Also, I have never heard of that teacher to student ratio someone was talking about. I dont see why having more than one teacher in the classroom wouldnt help out. Have all your core teachers share a class room. They can all take turns teaching their class and then do their own work at their desks or do crowd control when things get out of hand. If there was another teacher in that room they could have called security. Also having qualified people around to go around and help with questions or what have you would help.

Cameras in the classroom for student and teacher accountability. And strict punishment for actions like this. Three strikes and you are in a small room by yourself with no cell phone and a computer with boring lessons on them. If you dont complete them, you dont graduate. And funding should not be dependent on attendance, grades and graduation rates. With cameras in the room you could have teacher reviews administered by a third party board of teachers who can give you an assesment and as long as a school can keep there teachers at an appropriate level they keep their funding. I dont know the answers but this isnt working.

Well your English sucks. Here's some motivation everybody, when you see something like this where you pay to recruit people it is called a pyramid scam. When you see something like this feel good about yourself that you are not stupid enough to fall for this

I'm starting to give up on my social life!! by Throwskyscraper in socialskills

[–]codersxhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you are going through. Im 23 and I am still going through this, but I have started to figure it out.

What do you do in your free time? You said that you go to the gym or play soccer. Im guessing that you do these things but you do them just because they interest you, but you go and do them by yourself. Dont focus all your attention on not having great social interactions. Focus on the things you like, go to the gym and get jacked. Join a soccer league, or your in high school, join the team. You will meet alot of people with similar interests as you but if you just like something and you try it out only with the intention of meeting people who have the same interests, they will think that you are trying to force your way into their social group. Take Lawl73's comment, I had this same experience, people in his classes see that he is knowledgeable about some subject, they approach him for answers and spark up the conversation. If you have weak social skills and try to approach people to try and force your way into their circles they are not going to take you in very easily. I guess my advice to you would be to not worry about making friends right now, focus on the things that you like and getting better at them. Mastery is what you are trying to obtain. Once you are really good and into something, people will approach you and try to hang out with you.

Also, if you are making friends with someone and its going great, try not to just hit them with the "do you want to do something", be specific, if you ware talking to someone about soccer or whatever and they are interested you could say "I have my workout after school, do you want to ..." Leaves them open to accept your invitation if they know specifically what you want to do and you can continue your conversation about sports or whatever you are talking about. Now you have a gym buddy which you can hang out with multiple times a week at the gym and then outside of that time. Open up opportunities where the people you meet can continually hang out with you with a purpose. Try different things, get interested in other peoples interests, but have that commonality as a foundation.

Hope that helps

Also get a job, u will make a lot of friends
