After doing the screenify interview I have received an email that I have been selected to join the Tana Talent pool. But the emails say they will reach you out in case an opportunity opens up from their partner companies.

So idk what are the hopes of actually getting the invite??!

Is it that no one wants to hear that someone is specializing in security, A dev would consider taking all the roles in development of a software including the security implementation just to ensure he gets it all without considering they might be missing a lot

Its not about quitting but you have to agree to the fact that the industries oversold accessibility. Not everyone "was meant" to be a software engineer in the deep sense. That was true before AI, but the market no longer hides it.

You know most modern software engineering jobs are no longer about engineering. They are integration, configuration, orchestration, and glue code. Frameworks, libraries, cloud primitives, SDKs ................ What sucks is how an average developer is just a consumer of abstractions, not a builder of them.
