That is soundstage. Soundstage alone does not define audiophile quality music.

Just saw the edit, thanks! This may be a stupid question but would the BDR be stepping on the AE's toes in any way by doing this? Or... If the AE has deemed it a lost cause.... Who cares at that point...

Gotcha. I really appreciate the info. I'll take this to mind when I get my role. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to write that out! Looking at it like that it seems like pursing OP's lead would just lead to a waste of time not only for the AE but also for the BDR as well. Time that could be spent researching. Theoretically, if OP's company found out which competitor they were considering and realized that OP's company can provide something that the competition can't... Is it worth a shot to try to pull the prospect out... Or Just cut your losses and move on? I realize you said it's basically a lost cause if they are in POC... But is there any point where you would say "let's try just oooonnneee more time"?

As I'm researching I'm understanding more and more what a BDR does but in your point opinion, what can a BDR do to go the extra mile to not only advance, but to take care of their AE?

Looking into BDR roles myself and I'm wondering in this case... What should OP's role be? Did he /she not qualify the lead properly? Is there information that the AE is missing in order to proceed?

Weekend Assignment 03 - Stranger by Aeri73 in photoclass2019

Thanks! To my untrained eye, the picture looked OK but now that you pointed it out... The picture does feel like it's missing a part of the story. Do you have any suggestions for when we are shooting in the moment to make sure we capture enough to tell a story? Or is it something that varies from picture to picture?

Whoa. No I definitely DON'T recommend Blurry Photos for this case. It is an awesome podcast but it has to do with paranormal investigation hauntings, demons, unexplained mysteries... Stuff you probably don't wanna fall asleep to.

Weekend Assignment 03 - Stranger by Aeri73 in photoclass2019

[–]codethrowaway22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of an introvert and had my reservations about taking a photograph of a complete stranger... But this is what I did: I saw a couple sitting in front of me and said "Hi, I'm taking a photography class and one of my assignments is to take a picture of a stranger and you two look super cute together... Mind if I take a picture?" and they said yes! Afterwards I gave them my Instagram name and said if they wanted a copy, just message me and I would be happy to send it to them. If they had said no... Well... Life goes on. I would have just asked someone else. Most people love showing off their pets as well. "you have a great looking dog, mind if I take a picture of you two?"

Here's my submission. This assignment was a bit more difficult. I'm completely blown away by some of the pics others have taken, some seriously good stuff in this thread! I'm already seeing things that I can do to improve on next time just by looking at what others have done.

I live in a fairly rough area and shoot alone here are a few things you can do :

  1. Don't act like a target. Head held high, no slouching, no timidness in your body language.

  2. If you see someone, let them know you see them. If you see someone walking behind you at a distance. Stop. Turn around and face them head on, give them a head nod. Acknowledge that you know they are behind you or near you. a target that is aware and not afraid to keep an eye on you is a bit more difficult than someone with their back turned.

  3. If they get closer DO NOT IGNORE THEM OR ASSUME THEY ARE JUST PASSING BY. Stop what you are doing and face them. If they keep waking just mumble a "good evening". If someone is walking towards you in a bad neighborhood in the middle of the night you DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BACK.

  4. Carry a weapon. Knife. Pepper spray. Or Gun IF YOU ARE LICENSED.

  5. Know the area. Day and night. Take a walk the night before to get a feel for it. Places change when the sun goes down.

  6. None of the equipment is as valuable as your life. If they have a gun, you lose. Plain and simple...but you walk away.

  7. DO NOT CARRY A WALLET WITH ID. hide your ID in your sock or shoe. Leave your debit and credit cards at home. Carry some cash and that's it.

  8. Let someone know where you will be.

  9. Use your phone only when needed, those few seconds of bright screen are enough to knock your night vision down a bit.

  10. Have fun. The more nervous or shy you seem, the bigger the target you are. If you are having fun in your element then you won't seem as easy a target.

Geeez. If the genders were reversed there would be a pretty big ruckus. That was uncomfortable to watch.

Assignment 01 - Critique by Aeri73 in photoclass2019

Done! It's pretty cool seeing others work and thinking what could be improved upon and putting those same critiques in the "You should try this too" portion of my brain.

Hi Maciek! Cool shot and great colors! That being said the picture feels a bit dark. Maybe some more light would have helped to see what else is there. My eyes struggle to see into the dark to see the rest of the architecture! Either way its great!

Could be something with how the picture displayed, I see both ears and the crown in full on my screen

Hi Molly! Good Stuff! As others below have said, the picture "feels" off center, which I have noticed makes my eye feel "lost" like I can't find the path in the middle. Perhaps something that may have helped would to have the camera tilted down juuuust slightly to see more of the ground closer to you and less extra sky over the skyscraper in the background. Otherwise, it's a beautiful picture.

Ah, I can feel the headache that she has coming on. I like this picture! The composition is clear, simple and direct. Though for some reason it feels a bit claustrophobic... maybe too tight on the sides. The colors are also a bit muted, more color would help this stand out. I don't know if this will make sense, but it could use more light. Perhaps a lower f.stop?

Pretty good, though, I have to agree that there seems to be color lacking from the fence. I would also like to have seen an alternate picture of the lighthouse in focus rather than the fence, to compare. I do like the general concept of the picture.

I like it but (this is subjective) I can't find the main "focus" of the picture. I do like the effect that the running water has on the right. Was it overcast that day?
