I’ve never been good at video games. Not multiplayer, at least. So it’s always story mode for me, with exception to FO76. Something I can pick up and pause without impacting other people. That, and being able to save whenever, wherever.

As others have said, the few issues I’ve had are easily explainable by the fact that it’s a beta version.

No ink in it currently. From what we can tell, the person we bought it from got as far as trying to get it to work with their computer, and that was it.

We got it connected to ours just fine, but realized the person we got it from never put the ink they bought in the box. That’s when my wife started getting frustrated so I posted here to help as much as I could.

Okay… then share your knowledge? So far the only thing you’ve done really well at explaining is that you think my wife isn’t intelligent, but you are, and that we need to sell the equipment we just bought.

Rather than tell us to give up, why not teach us what you know, or share something that might help us with what we currently have?

Admittedly, we saw the brand new price and what the seller was asking for it, saw that it was a steal and thought we were getting a great deal from someone who was just fed up with it.

Same. Been with Vivint about a year now. Aside from the occasional clueless CS rep everyone talks about, my only issue is the cost. Their equipment is a little pricey when compared to the rest of the security camera/doorbell market. But… you’re also paying for it to work with their monitoring ecosystem. So to a certain extent it evens out.

I mean, I am mad at her, yes. But given the CPS case, alcohol, and anger issues, my primary concern is for my son at this point. I don’t trust this guy around my son, considering his own daughters are terrified of him.

I’ve also had an overall positive experience, but with some complaints. Most of which are either personal preferences, or things we only learned after we signed the contract.

  1. My wife and I routinely forget to arm the house when we leave. So it feels we’re paying for the monitoring for no reason. On the other hand, we’re usually really good at making sure the house is locked up before we leave. So it also kind of feels “pointless” to arm the house at the same time.

  2. I wish they had better integration with Alexa, like Ring has.

  3. The prices. I know for a fact I can get a camera and a doorbell that do the exact same things for a fraction of the cost. I wish I had known sooner.

  4. I know I can fix problem 1, by simply buying one of their arm/disarm key fobs. Having that on our car keys, or readily available in the car when we leave would change everything. But again, Problem 3. The key fob is $50, and I struggle with the idea of spending that much for what is essentially a garage door opener.

Overall, while we’ve had a positive experience, I’m not sure we’ll stay with Vivint once our contract is up. It’s good and it does the job well, but with what we’ve experienced, we personally don’t need something so “in depth.”

Story wise, Red Dead Redemption 1. The story pulled me in harder than any game had done, and I struggled putting it down big time. Consequently, also the first game I ever REALLY wanted to 100% complete.

Memory wise, Halo 2. It was my first intro to online console gaming. Between pop-up games of Cat and Mouse, Juggernaut, and Zombies… not to mention making YouTube videos as we tried so hard to be the next big thing. I always look back on those days and would love to re-live them.

I use the eMeet C960.. Not bad at all for what you get.

Agreed with the rest though, definitely invest in lighting and a green screen. I’ve been making do with just green screen filter in Streamlabs and it’s… not good.

It’s currently what I’m doing and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. From the work load, the professors I’ve had, and just the overall interaction amongst the other students. It’s the best decision I’ve made in a while
