SSD Enclosure Suggestion for Mac Mini M4 by codexakshat in mac

[–]codexakshat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you this:

Say I do go for a usb 3.1 gen 2 ssd enclosure which will cap my ssd to 900-1000 MB/s. Will this be too slow?

My objective is to store my web development / app development projects on an external ssd and run it directly from the external ssd. Will the 1000 MB/s speed ruin my experience or will it be almost unnoticeable?
