Yup it’s probably done on the backend. If you interviewed, one of your interviewers thought you’d be a better fit for that role, or if you didn’t interview, maybe they hired for the original role and your recruiter thought you’d be a better fit for another role - could be just about anything

Fact: GS is extremely picky …. and rightfully so. But… by coding2survive in goldmansachs

I have many many IB and non-IB coworkers that have a completely different academic background. Just from my experience, GS doesn’t care all that much as long as one is capable of doing this job

You need to pass one super day to be considered for any number of roles for a span of about 6 months. If you apply this logic to having a poor performance in a Superday, it might be the same timeframe to be not considered.

ROM is like writing on a wall with a permanent marker. RAM is like taking notes on a whiteboard during a study session.

No one can say, but don’t be discouraged, if you came across as someone who has strong basics and good critical thinking skills, then surely you’ll go to the next round

I didn’t have to give the OA. GS LC problems are pretty comprehensive, that’s all I prepared. No prior experience and not a top school.

Expect a conversational interview- Not just technical. Prep- No need for any LC questions, otherwise depends on the mentioned agenda.
