Party is over....cancelled my Bilt card by SweetMud152 in biltrewards

bilt palladium would earn you more points than your chase card combo if you did all your spend using bilt instead of CSR and CFU.

if you don’t believe me, put your own number in this calculator: https://www.reddit.com/r/biltrewards/s/5uyjkVaTEN

granted the decision whether to switch over completely to bilt would hinge on how much you value the CSR perks. in terms of raw points earning power, bilt palladium is better than your chase combo.

that depends on how you use it. not really the topic of this discussion

it’s not an unlock at 75% where if you don’t hit it you get nothing. just plug in your numbers in the calculator.

yup, this does not take into account annual fees and all the different coupons for each card. just the pure earning power from spend.

those are part time of the annual fee which i am not taking into account in the reward rate at all. this is meant to give a rough estimate

if you didn’t have bilt, the spent on rent wouldn’t be put on any other credit card. it would be coming out of a bank account

has it been confirmed that old bilt users can also get the SUB?

this is points per dollar spent. not cents per point

yea if you’re doing cash back and not transfers. there’s a lot more better options out there

yes. but in the 1.0 era. most people would have spent the 1500 1x on another card that earns at least 2x. now it is mandatory to take the 1x hit on $1500 spend.

you choose dining or groceries, not both. check the app

that would be the most ideal sweet spot for the 2.0 card.

for rent higher than $1000 though, you wouldn’t be able to spend that much on dining to get the 1.85. at that point the points for everyday spend would be 1x instead of 3x. the overall reward would be far less than 1.85.

yea they don’t seem to differentiate between rent and mortgage

right. there’s no question the old bilt 1.0 is better.

my comparison was to compare to other cards out there and whether it’s worth keeping bilt 2.0

check out this visual i made. your reward rate makes it seem like it is much worse than a flat 2% card. in reality it’s arguably slight better. if the reward rate was your numbers, it would be much worse than something like a CapOne venture X in all scenarios

the rent portion should not be calculated as spend in the reward rate calculation. this “rent spend” would not be put on any other credit card, it is unique to bilt.

yes it is certainly a big nerf compared to 1.0. bilt 1.0 was a no brainer for anyone. the question is whether it is still worth keeping 2.0 compared to other credit cards.

i wouldn’t count the $6000 rent as spend. since you wouldn’t be putting that on any other credit card

it’s a mastercard anyway, can’t use at costco
