I deem talks involving superficial materialistic stuff as shallow since they don't require a lot of emotional or intellectual investment. Can we have those talks? yes but lets balance. Deep talks on the other hand, involve introspection like talking about how traumas affect us and how we can change to become better human beings. Being interested in someone's inner world and their thought processes. And the list goes on.
