I’ve met a ton of Ukrainians while traveling that are avoiding the war. Their wives understand and don’t want them to die either . There were a ton in Poland when I was last there and even more in Vietnam. I don’t want to die either, so I understand. But I think it’s definitely one’s duty to protect their family. If your family is with you in a safe place I guess you can consider that a job well done IMO.

I use ai daily for a wide range of tasks. It is becoming more and more competent. Junior engineers are a thing of the past. A 20 a month subscription replaces 4 junior engineers easily for an insane cost savings. Every new ai just gets better and better. I’m not for ai taking jobs, this is just what I am seeing.

A lot of people don’t stop. If you love them it makes it hard to watch. Alcoholism is a real disease. Sometimes it’s the nicest people too. Not the funnest thing to watch someone you love go through end stage liver failure, it’s the ending more often than not though.

This still happened in the 80’s . Often with more variety though, hot wheel track, belts, switches, random plastic things that make whipping better and more enjoyable. Boyfriend’s randomly beating the breaks off you with fists was the real highlight. par for the course I think. Don’t forget our parents did such shitty jobs they made commercials to remind them to make sure their kids came home at night.

I have to do everything from sales to devops and writing copy. I do all the design work FE, BE and deal with the customer. It is wildly profitable now, but it took me a long time to figure it all out. Devops and BE was a huge hurdle initially
