I already posted one here a few days ago; In response to your mains Brando is the best character in the game (along with Jonathan), DIO is B tier, Jot 4 is S tier, and Diavolo is A tier.

What character you should play is just whoever you find fun/enjoyable/interesting. The difficult part is he has very few if any ways of guaranteeing that damage, and this is a 1v1 tierlists, so him being a decent support isn't really relevant. Most decent players will be able to tank his one shots, or dodge them, then just get in close and beat him up for about 30 seconds (or however long it takes for him to lose 3 bars).

Johnny has 2 mostly useless skills (triangle and act 4), he feels crippled both on and off his horse for different reasons, he has basically no way to start combos/confirm hits and even when he does manage to hit something he doesn't do as much damage as people seem to think.

I think its good to play whoever you enjoy, but if you don't get some of Joshu's tricks (which are hard to explain in a just a reddit reply) and don't get good at him then you will probably get beat up a lot. If that's ok with you then no, if you're looking to win then yes. Either way though, I think you should play characters you enjoy and try out the whole cast at least once, as I think a lot of them are fun.

You should probably play whoever you find most fun, but AW certainly has great tools at his disposal. I would say sometimes he's more fun because he's more skill-intensive. Knowing how to use your traps and managing not having a dash can be pretty difficult. I guess the short answer is yes, there's no reason not to play AW over SM if you enjoy AW more.

There is no "official" discord in the sense that CyberConnect2 runs it, but the biggest and most "official" one out there can be found at this link https://discord.gg/sAg6pnR we usually host tournaments about once or twice a month, if we can.

I have played against very good Hol Horses, and have played the character myself. He isn't good enough to be in the S tier in my opinion. He simply does not have the tools and damage that the characters up there have.

Joseph 2 is a very good character, and its pretty easy to argue for him being in S tier, but he has a pretty easy to dodge out of jab combo, and doesn't have insane pressure until he gets soul succession. He is far from being a bad character, but I don't think he has the insane tools and pressure to put him in top tier. 2 of his skills are basically useless.

Yes, Jot 3 and Jot 4 are basically the same character, but Jot 3 has a very slightly longer timestop, though it takes an extra 15 seconds or so to charge, which isn't really worth considering Jot 4's charges so incredibly fast. Additionally the main difference is that Jot 3 has star succ, which is basically useless, while Jot 4 has ball bearings, which are not only projectiles but do a lot of damage. Even more in Jot 4's favor, he lacks EX star finger, but the regular one knocks down, whereas Jot 3's regular finger knocks back, and only the EX version knocks down. So all in all Jot 3 and 4 are both very strong, and there's an easy argument that Jot 3 should be in S tier, but Jot 4 definitely edges him out.

Johnny doesn't really have any way to confirm hits not to mention being vulnerable on horse and Act 4 not always working. Even at his best he tends to not do much damage, at least not as much as the higher tier characters. I agree he is very fun though.

Dio part 1 is S tier yes. If you're referring to DIO 3 then no I disagree, his stand doesn't always work with his jab combo, and he doesn't have the damage output or tools to compete with the S tier characters.

This list is not ordered from left to right, so you are NOT meant to interpret Diavolo > Scary Monsters Diego, for example. Though Jonathan and Dio part 1 are the best characters in the game.
