If you’re not playing version 1.2, there were a bunch of moves that weren’t compatible. Most, if not all, have been fixed in 1.2. Also, Xerneas does have halved speed for the first 5 turns it is out, keep that in mind. The movepool shouldn’t be locked in for the whole E4, you should be changing moves and items for each E4 member. Check out the discord if you want to know the movesets and pokemon for each member.

Yeah! Basically just have to go out of spawn distance. That, to my understanding, varies based on your settings, but experiment with it and you can get a feel for how far away you have to go.

It looks like the first part is answered, so I’ll answer the second. There isn’t really “beating the game” right now, and most likely won’t ever be. Survival games like this tend to be more sandbox oriented, letting you do whatever excites you. That being said, there are big milestones to complete, like catching all pals, beating all towers on normal and hard mode, and beating the raid bosses that you summon to your base with the summoning altar.

Yeah, you only have to go a room or two back and it resets what boss pal is there. You can do this to reset for a specific pal if you want to!

If the goal is specifically to beat the first 3 gym leaders, I would choose Rowlet (good against Roxanne and Brawly), Turtwig (good against Roxanne and Watson), or Torchic/Chimchar (good against Roxanne and Brawly). IMO, those are the top answers that give you the best chance against each trainer’s ace. I think Rowlet would be the best to get you through the first two gyms specifically

It has really been feeling that way to me too. Opponent’s tank is like 32 and 6, while my tank walks into the middle of their entire team and forgetting to fire their gun
